Jr Hotel Clement Takamatsu

The location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance, and the train station, bus terminal, and ferry terminal are all just a minute's walk away. There's also a bakery in the hotel with a good reputation, though guests no longer get discounts. From the breakfast area on the first floor, you can see the queue at the ferry terminal. While the breakfast isn't extensive, it's quite refined, and it's super convenient if you're in a hurry. The hotel hosts many tour groups from Europe and Southeast Asia, but the elevators are fast, so it's not an issue. We pre-booked dinner at the hotel's famous French restaurant, but business was slow – surprisingly few guests even on Halloween, and no decorations either. However, the food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the set menu was very satisfying and reasonably priced.

This is probably the closest high-class hotel to Takamatsu Port, at least judging by its exterior and lobby decor. For the rooms, it really depends on the view. If you get a room facing the port, it's quite nice; if it's city view, it's just so-so. The room size is definitely a bit larger than typical Japanese budget chain hotels, but only just a little! The location is very convenient for guests planning island hopping tours.
