Dong Shan Hotel

Rushing for the high-speed train in the morning, two of us asked for two takeaway boxes. As we were about to leave, my child said they wanted hot congee, but it couldn't be packed for takeaway. So we sat down to eat a bowl of congee before leaving. An older staff member rudely and unreasonably questioned us, saying, "Is it for takeaway or are you eating here?" We stayed here for four nights and had dinner at the Chinese restaurant three times. All the other service was excellent, but this one incident was a real spoil!

The views from within the scenic area are absolutely stunning! The Quege Teahouse offers a beautiful setting to enjoy tea while taking in the scenery. The hotel service was also superb; they were always ready to assist. We never had to wait for transfers up and down the mountain. The room was very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. The only minor downside was that the mini-fridge in our room was broken, but the housekeeping staff kindly stored our drinks in their large fridge and would bring them to us whenever we called.

The environment here is great, right across from the Longmen Grottoes. You can see the night tour of Longmen as soon as you cross the bridge. The stay was very comfortable and amazing. They also provided a pick-up and drop-off service to the high-speed rail station, which was really a nice touch. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The room was spacious and my room on the fourth floor was very quiet. From the observation deck on the fourth floor, I could see the Longmen Grottoes in the distance. The staff were warm and thoughtful, explaining the Longmen Grottoes tour route in detail. The hotel's buggy service to the scenic area's buggy pick-up point was very convenient. The hotel's restaurant had a nice ambiance; dinner was mediocre, but breakfast was good.

I wanted to visit the Longmen Grottoes at night, and since it would be late, I booked a stay here. The hotel offers a shuttle service to near the ticket office. When you're done with your visit, just call the hotel from the drop-off point, and they'll come pick you up. The shuttle driver was excellent! I asked him so many questions, and he answered all of them clearly and thoughtfully. He even gave me a map of the grottoes. Thumbs up!

The Dongshan Hotel, nestled amidst the trees of Dongshan and adjacent to Bai Garden and Xiangshan Temple, is a garden-style hotel that offers a beautiful environment away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel provides timely shuttle service via electric carts, making it incredibly convenient for visiting the Longmen Grottoes, Xiangshan Temple, and Bai Garden. The breakfast spread in the restaurant is extensive, featuring local specialties such as Hu La Tang (spicy soup), lamb soup, and tofu soup.

The room facilities are a bit old, but the surroundings are top-notch, right next to Baiyuan and Xiangshan Temple. It's very convenient to get to the Longmen Grottoes. The hotel service is excellent, with electric carts to shuttle guests down the mountain. However, you can't see the Longmen Grottoes from the hotel. The hotel also provides a daily gift package, which includes fruit, beer, drinks, and snacks.

The hotel's garden environment is fantastic, and its location right next to the Longmen Grottoes is a huge plus. They even offer shuttle service to the attraction. The front desk and room service staff were warm and attentive, providing fresh fruit, drinks, and snacks in the room daily. It's definitely the top choice for visiting the Longmen Grottoes.

Several friends highly recommended we stay here if we were visiting Longmen Grottoes. I'm glad I listened to their advice, because their taste is excellent! The hotel is located on East Mountain, facing the Longmen Grottoes on West Mountain across the river. You can even see some of the grottoes from the rooftop terrace of Building 5. The hotel is right next to Xiangshan Temple and surrounds Bai Garden, offering beautiful scenery at every turn. The service is also excellent. You can book an electric shuttle at the front desk to take you to the East Gate of the Grottoes, then walk or take another shuttle to the Northwest Gate ticket office. After exploring the Grottoes and Bai Garden, it's just a short walk back to the hotel. The room type we booked even included a free send-off service to the station, which was very convenient. While the decor might be a little dated, the facilities are complete. It's clean and hygienic, with welcome fruit and complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, all rich and delicious, though the coffee was really not good, haha. We had lunch in the banquet hall, using a BOGO deal from Ctrip for two people, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous and tasty! Upon check-in, we received a voucher for the tea room on the upper floor's terrace. Enjoying tea and a book there was incredibly pleasant! The lady working at the tea room provided amazing service. Overall, I highly recommend it!
