Kings Pavilion Luxury Hotel

Wow! We are an extremely difficult couple to impress (from the UK and we critique for a living!) and Kings Pavillion saved our opinion of Sri Lanka as a whole. We got a free room upgrade, a welcome cake and drink that was great quality. Be prepared to pay for what you get, food prices maybe slightly higher than surrounding areas but guess what, you get value for money. The staff couldn’t do more for you if they tried. The rooms are spotlessly clean. Our whole experience was a tranquil slice of the best Sri Lanka has to offer. They even gave us a complementary Sri Lankan dinner on our second evening and there was so much incredible food that we were unable to eat it all between us. Ignore any negative reviews (yes, I checked them before arriving and they worried me!) you will be treated like royalty the whole time. Thank you so much Kings Pavaillion, you have benchmarked what “outstanding” means.

We stayed here for two nights over the new year celebrations and were made to feel part of the family. We really loved this hotel and couldn’t fault the accommodation or service. I needed some medical attention while we were there and the staff went above and beyond to help me. Really unbelievable service and representative of the warmth and care shown by all the staff. Breakfast was delicious, with a huge spread put on for new year and my husband and I were presented with new year gifts when we arrived. Definitely the place to stay if you’re in Kandy.

Kings Pavilion is a small intimate hotel set on the hills just above Kandy. The garden is spectacular and my room ( away from main building ) was set within all the foliage. In the morning the views down toward Kandy are spectacular. Staff were incredibly attentive. I had seen the dinner menu but requested that I be served a traditional Sri Lankan curry which was prepared and served beautifully. I truly wished I was staying longer

Kings Pavilion was the very first stop of my trip, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better start. As a solo traveler, I arrived feeling tired from the journey, but from the moment I checked in, everything felt easy and welcoming. I stayed in the Harispattuwa Junior Suite, and it was absolutely beautiful-peaceful, comfortable, and felt like my own little escape. The steam bath was one of my favorite parts of the stay, especially after a long day of traveling. The food was amazing, and every meal was something I looked forward to. I also loved the little details from housekeeping, especially the towel arrangements-they made the room feel extra special. What I appreciated most was how smooth both check-in and check-out were. The front office team was kind, helpful, and made everything stress-free, which really matters when you’re traveling alone and feeling exhausted. Overall, Kings Pavilion gave me such a relaxing and memorable start to my trip. Beautiful location, great food, and warm hospitality. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Kings Pavilion was a wonderful place to stay in Kandy. The team was welcoming and kind, and we enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Harispattu Suite. Our meals were delicious, and we love dining on the patio, surroumded by lush gardens.

When we arrived at Kings Pavilion, the first thing we noticed was how calm and peaceful it was. It’s nicely away from the busy city, which made it really relaxing from the start. We stayed in the Kings Suite and honestly, it was amazing. Very spacious and comfortable, and perfect for a family. My daughter especially loved the chocolates that was a big highlight for her and made the stay even more special. What stood out the most was the service. Every staff member was so kind and helpful, always checking if we were comfortable and making sure we had everything we needed. You can really feel that they care. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful place with great service.
