Strolling along the Ming and Qing Dynasty Street, lined with banks and security agencies on the cobblestone streets, you can almost hear the clinking of abacus beads and the jingling of horse bells from the Shanxi merchants of yesteryear. Be sure to visit the Rishengchang Bank to experience the grandeur of "connecting the world through finance," and then watch a court hearing performance at the county government office—it's incredibly entertaining. At night, the ancient city lights up, and the aromas of bars and vinegar shops fill the air. Buy a piece of Guanyun beef and try a bowl of wantuo (a type of noodle soup)—it'll satisfy your taste buds. I highly recommend watching the "Encounter Pingyao" immersive performance—a moving experience of cultural heritage.
