YHA Melbourne Central

The rooms are really clean, and the service is excellent. Lots of people stay here, and the atmosphere downstairs in the evenings is great with everyone chatting or cooking together!

The environment is nice. The room is suitable. Everyone has a lamp and a power outlet by their bed. The bathroom and toilet are very large. It's very convenient to log in with your phone to access the key.

It's about a 7-minute walk from the train station, and also very close to the boarding point for the penguin tour train. If you need luggage storage, there are lockers (paid use) on the first floor at the back. Our room didn't have a hairdryer at the time, but you can ask the front desk for one.

The location is superb, as expected from YHA. The building is old, and the room layout and facilities are a bit inconvenient. There isn't a single hook in the entire room, making it feel like there's nowhere to put anything. The simple Western-style breakfast was okay, but some of the dried fruits might have been close to their expiration date.

Located on Flinders Street within the free tram zone, this hotel is conveniently close to both tram stops and Southern Cross Station. The cleanliness is relatively good, facilities are comprehensive, and the staff are enthusiastic, making it a great choice.
