Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

The hotel is right next to Shin-Osaka Station, with a direct overpass leading to the lobby on the second floor. The room size is generous, and the air conditioning is very quiet. There's also a gym on the first floor, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of fruits. The staff even ask about your preferences and help place orders for custom-made eggs. My only complaint is that the soundproofing of the hotel's windows is terrible. You can clearly hear JR trains and cars passing by from inside the room. I've stayed at other hotels near stations before where the window soundproofing was excellent, so Marriott has really disappointed me on this front!

Stayed here for the first night, then moved to Biwako Otsu Prince Hotel the next day. The hotel held onto our luggage, and when we returned for our third night, they had already placed our bags in our room before we checked in, which was a very thoughtful touch. There's some train noise if your room faces the train station, so if you're sensitive to sound, remember to ask the front desk for an inward-facing room – those are very quiet. There's no complimentary water in the room, so be sure to pick some up at the convenience store.

Connected to the train station and subway. My colleague misread the time, and it only took us 7-8 minutes from realizing the mistake to checking out and boarding the train. So convenient! What an amazing experience!

The location is good, right by the Shinkansen exit at Shin-Osaka. Other than that, everything else was just okay.
