Best Western The Lagoon Hotel

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The bedding was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a bit older but well-maintained. Like most establishments in Asia, the windows aren't double-glazed, so even on a high floor, you can hear music from the street. While not essential for local guests, a few more sun loungers and amenities around the pool (which is very nice and large) would be a welcome addition. In summary, it's a good hotel with great value for money.

This is a decent hotel by local standards. The breakfast is plentiful, and there's a small night market by the sea downstairs.

I booked a suite, but the sofa was so filthy it looked like it had a permanent film on it; I had to cover it with a bedsheet just to use it. The utensils in the room also had dirty water marks. Breakfast was very limited, mostly Indonesian dishes which I couldn't really eat, so I just stuck to toast. Plus, there's a garbage dump right below the hotel. The star rating here is completely misleading. Good thing I only stayed one night.
