The Prestige Hotel Penang

The hotel's location is quite good, making it convenient for city walks around the area. The hotel's hygiene and service are also good. The room decor is average, and the bar outside was very noisy late at night, so the soundproofing isn't great.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a five-minute walk to the ferry terminal, and about ten minutes to the Clan Jetties and the core area of the mural street. The hotel extensively uses a white and rose gold color scheme, exuding quality, individuality, and a touch of luxury. The room size is just right, clean, tidy, and with high hygiene standards. The mattress is comfortable, and the bathroom features a wet/dry separation, with a design that enhances the overall stay experience. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance, making dining very pleasant, and of course, the breakfast quality and variety are equally commendable. The hotel staff provide excellent, natural, and friendly service. The rooftop infinity pool is the highlight, offering direct sea views and unobstructed panoramas of the surrounding buildings. Although some parts are under renovation, the white walls and red roofs are still incredibly beautiful and a feast for the eyes. Soaking in the pool washes away fatigue, creating an intense sense of a vacation. A delightful surprise to conclude our Penang trip!

I almost always book this hotel whenever I visit George Town. 1. If you're only doing a city walk in George Town, it's truly walkable. It's a 5-minute walk to Chew Jetty, 3 minutes to the famous Fire Station, 5 minutes to the Street Art Mural area, and 12 minutes to Tek Sen Restaurant. 2. There's a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant right downstairs, and it's a 5-minute walk to Auntie's Kitchen, a Michelin One-Star Nyonya restaurant. This time, I barely drove when exploring the Michelin guide, it was all on foot. 3. The hotel's pool view is absolutely stunning.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, and a special bonus was the complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge. The front desk service was excellent, and I had a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is great for tourists; it's very comfortable, and the food suited our taste perfectly, especially since many local dishes are sweet. Here, a lot of the food was savory and delicious. The infinity pool was a bit small and the water was salty. It seemed to close around 8 PM.

The room decor was really unique. The hotel's restaurant offered a good variety for breakfast, and since we arrived late for lunch, we ordered Western food from their menu, which was also delicious. It's about an 8-10 minute walk to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and approximately 15 minutes to the beachfront. It's also very close to the Clan Jetties.

I chose this hotel after checking its design and guest reviews on Ctrip. First off, its location is super convenient for visiting many of Penang's attractions and trying local food. However, I didn't give the environment 5 stars because, unfortunately, during my entire 4-day, 3-night stay, there was street construction happening around the hotel. This made things a bit inconvenient and really affected the hotel's overall appearance! But the hotel's service definitely deserves praise. The housekeeping staff who cleaned our room daily was very diligent. A few times, we returned to the hotel while he was cleaning, and he politely stepped aside, waiting nearby until we left again! Also, a big shout-out to the F&B Manager, Eva Hoe. She provided exceptional service during both our breakfast experiences, enthusiastically recommending freshly prepared items that weren't on the buffet. She's also very pretty and speaks fluent Chinese, which is a definite 5-star point! The hotel's design is excellent, especially the clever packaging of the seven bathroom amenities, which collectively form an image of the hotel's exterior. Highly recommended!

The surrounding environment is very comfortable, with several restaurants nearby which is convenient. The hotel staff are very polite and do their best to help guests solve problems. The downsides are that the room was a bit dirty, the bathroom door was very difficult to open, and the lighting outside the room was dim. In the middle of the night, I could hear loud pipe noises, and with the heavy rain overnight, the pipe noises didn't stop until 5 AM.

My stay at The Prestige Hotel in Penang was, overall, a fantastic experience. The hotel's architecture is truly distinctive and beautiful, making it a great spot for photos. The rooftop pool area is also wonderful, especially at sunrise and sunset. Relaxing by the pool and enjoying the views at these times is incredibly pleasant. The rooms are elegantly designed and exquisitely decorated. A great touch is that each room comes with a drinking water filter, providing access to safe drinking water at any time, which is very convenient and environmentally friendly. Another thoughtful detail is that all the drinks in the mini-fridge are complimentary – you can enjoy them freely. The hotel's location is also incredibly convenient. You can easily walk to many excellent restaurants and food stalls, making both dining out and exploring nearby attractions a breeze. Overall, it's a hotel that combines beauty, comfort, and convenience, and I highly recommend it.
