Chimelong Penguin Hotel

The room was clean and tidy, and the fireworks-view room offered a great view, perfect for watching the display. The dolphins, orcas, and penguins at Chimelong were a hit with the kids, and the shows were spectacular. The buffet breakfast was lavish, and the New Year's Eve buffet dinner was truly luxurious, featuring lobster, sea cucumber, a wide array of delicacies, and of course, essential dumplings – it was fantastic. Room service was also excellent, with reasonable prices, making it a great option after a tiring day of fun. We also checked out the orca restaurant at the Spaceship Park; dining while watching the orcas was an incredible experience. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay for three days and two nights. The hotel paid great attention to every detail. Kids celebrating their birthday that month even received a commemorative luggage tag, which made them very happy.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! Definitely book in advance for better rates. We got a package that included tickets and the Chimelong Show. The hotel was quite busy, but it's super close to the Ocean Kingdom, which is a huge plus if you're traveling with little ones – you can just head straight back to rest. Hotel guests also get early entry, so the lines in the morning are shorter. The room decor is all penguin-themed, and my child absolutely loved it. The only downside is that food delivery services are a bit far; I'd suggest adding a delivery locker. The Penguin Butler 2 service was excellent; they were very helpful with any questions we had. We missed the 5 PM Chimelong Show, and they kindly rearranged it for us to the 8 PM show, which was great. You can see penguins during breakfast; even though we ate a bit late and didn't snag a prime viewing spot, we could still see them.

I paid an extra 200 RMB to upgrade my room on the day of check-in, but then received 238 RMB worth of brunch, which was a great deal! There was a hair on one of the pillows after housekeeping, but the customer service representative immediately offered to change it. Since it was quite late, I didn't ask them to, but their service attitude was excellent. We received small gifts upon check-in and again at check-out. Also, our customer service representative was fantastic – she offered many helpful suggestions and reminders, which was very thoughtful. I'd like to commend her.

Our hotel butler was incredibly dedicated and provided attentive service throughout our stay. They reminded us about show times daily, answered all our questions patiently via WeChat, and were generally very helpful. The hotel has great entertainment facilities, including an indoor play area and an outdoor mini-train, which kept the kids thoroughly entertained. Guests can enjoy complimentary luggage storage and free parking. Our room had excellent natural light, and the bathroom had stable water pressure. The bedding was comfortable, and they even provided children's toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch – lots of attention to detail! Room service for deliveries was prompt and considerate. The hotel's location is superb, right next to Ocean Kingdom; it's just a 3-minute walk to the entrance, incredibly convenient. It's also close to the high-speed train station, about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel's fountain plaza is fantastic, offering a stunning visual feast with its musical fountain show combined with Ocean Kingdom's colorful fireworks. The surrounding environment is pleasant, with fresh air. For check-out, you can simply drop your room card into the express check-out box, no need to go to the front desk, which is quick, easy, and saves a lot of time. The entire experience, from check-in to check-out, was seamless. I highly recommend staying at the Penguin Hotel.

We chose the Penguin Hotel because it's the closest to the theme park. Upon entering, the atmosphere was lovely, and there was a 'little tiger' mascot posing for photos with kids. While the adults were checking in, we showed our Chimelong Diamond Card and got a room upgrade. The room itself was well-equipped with plenty of water, but the cleanliness wasn't great. There were stains on both the toilet seat and the children's toilet seat cover, and the electronic scale had no power. The soundproofing in the room wasn't very good; we could hear a lot of noise from next door and outside, which woke us up early. Our package was for the Ocean Kingdom, but many rides were closed due to rain, and we couldn't switch to the Spaceship Park. The butler service was excellent, though, and they allowed us a late checkout. The porter was very responsible, helping us with our luggage, waiting with us until our car arrived, and then assisting with transferring the luggage into the car with the staff at the entrance.

The Emperor Penguin Buffet was a wonderful surprise! Not only did we get to watch adorable penguins while we ate, but the food selection was incredibly rich, with both Chinese and Western options, plus a fantastic dessert spread. The hotel's location is perfect for both transport and park visits. It's just a 5-minute walk to Ocean Kingdom, and there's an exclusive covered walkway, making it comfortable even in rain or scorching sun. This significantly reduces entry wait times and is especially convenient for returning to your room for a break between park activities, boosting efficiency. The hotel is super close to Ocean Kingdom, just a 3-minute walk, making getting around effortless. The room was spacious and clean, elegantly decorated with comfortable bedding – very soothing. The bathroom was well-equipped with a dry/wet separation design. The hotel's entertainment facilities are abundant: Taotaole Castle, a mini-train, fish feeding, a foot massage center, and more. Our child had an absolute blast, and the adults were able to relax too. The hotel is extremely close to Ocean Kingdom, a mere 3-minute walk, making access effortless. Plus, a butler sent us daily reminders for park show times, and children's amenities like tooth cups and towels were all provided. Whether it was dining or hygiene, everything was excellent. The free shuttle bus to Spaceship Park was also very convenient. It's definitely worth it, excellent, exceeded expectations, highly recommend, and great value for money – five stars! My child had an especially great time. Next time we visit Chimelong Zhuhai, Penguin Hotel will be our first choice again!
