Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel Indigo

No doorman, the showerhead couldn't be adjusted, and the toilet had an odd smell. The surrounding area is quite desolate with nothing to do. Breakfast options were limited and the taste was mediocre. The only upside was the spacious room.

Our family recently stayed in Hengqin, and we chose this Indigo hotel with its unique architecture. Overall, it felt like living in an exquisite riverside residence, offering immense comfort, though it had its pros and cons. The hotel is built along the Tianmu River, boasting an elegant design. To capture its full grandeur in photos, you need to stand a bit further back. It's very close to Hengqin Port and Chimelong by car. Self-parking is free, and the concierge even helped us charge our car. If you prefer not to drive, there's a scheduled shuttle service, which is a great convenience when traveling with seniors and children. The pedestrian bridge in front of the hotel is perfect for evening strolls, offering a leisurely walk with a gentle breeze and river views – ideal for unwinding. Due to a typhoon, it rained quite a bit during our stay, but the covered walkways meant we didn't have to worry about getting wet. The lobby is warmly and elegantly decorated, without the overly commercial stiffness. The staff were kind and handled check-in at a relaxed pace. They even assigned us a room on a suitable floor and close to the elevator, considering I was traveling with an elder. Our room was spacious with a large floor-to-ceiling window offering an unobstructed view of the river from the bed. The bedding was soft and breathable, though slightly damp. The toiletries were very moisturizing and didn't dry out the skin; my child particularly loved the scent. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, so the kids' activities didn't disturb anyone. The lighting had a suitable color temperature, perfect for reading before bed or simply relaxing, showing great attention to detail. Breakfast was served in a riverside restaurant, where the window seats were very popular. Cantonese dim sum, congee, noodles, and various hot and cold dishes were all available and replenished promptly. The flavors catered to local tastes, and there was a wide selection of pastries and fruits that children love. In the evening, you can go up to the rooftop lounge to enjoy the night view. For leisure, there's also a heated pool and a gym, ensuring everyone in the family can find a way to relax. Of course, there were minor drawbacks. This area is still under development, so there aren't many convenience stores downstairs, and food delivery can be a bit slow. Snacks and drinks in the room's mini-bar were chargeable, and room rates are higher during holidays. We also had to wait a bit to check in due to a queue. Overall, this hotel offers thoughtful amenities and a livable environment, making it perfect for short family getaways or a brief stay in Hengqin and Macau. If you don't heavily rely on street-side convenience stores and value living comfort and scenic views, this would be a very suitable home-like accommodation option.

The breakfast here is unbelievably bad. The food isn't hot enough; it seems like it was cooked much earlier and then kept under a warming lamp, but unfortunately, the lamp isn't effective at keeping things warm. A lot of the food is deep-fried or pan-fried, and it's extremely greasy with thick batter, making it hard and doughy – simply inedible. The staff pour the juices from large jugs directly into the dispensers, almost as if to remind you that the juice is store-bought, not freshly squeezed. The ice cream has ice chips in it; I wonder if it melted and was refrozen? The hot food isn't hot enough, so the whole meal is lukewarm and greasy. And then there's the 'milkshake' – it's a bizarre, watery mess that's so thin you can scoop it up. Does the chef even know what a milkshake is?!

The hotel is new and has a great design. The service is attentive and the toiletries are high-end. The breakfast is also excellent, with a dedicated iced Americano. Every window seems to have a river view, and the scenery is unbeatable. I'll definitely come again.

This is a newly opened hotel with a strong sense of design. It's clean, bright, and comfortable. It's very convenient, only about a 10-minute drive to either Chimelong or Macau, and offers great value for money. Both check-in and check-out were quick, and they even gave us a souvenir when we left. Thumbs up! 👍

The breakfast was delicious, and the surrounding area was pretty quiet. However, the overall design and rooms of this hotel are probably the most underwhelming I've seen among all the Indigo hotels I've stayed in. The bar was nice though. It was just a quick one-night stay.

Located on Tianmu Qintai Island, the hotel is surrounded by water, and its architecture is highly recognizable. As an InterContinental Indigo property, the facilities are brand new, and the overall design is filled with a natural ambiance. The river view rooms feature panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views. The rooms are spacious, and include an entryway vanity, a separate wet and dry bathroom, smart curtains, soft bedding, and a quiet environment, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. The 17th floor offers an indoor heated swimming pool and a gym with scenic views. Getting around is very convenient, with a complimentary on-site parking lot, making it very car-friendly.

This is my go-to hotel every time I visit Hengqin, no exceptions! The environment is great, it's quiet, clean, and very convenient for getting around. The breakfast is also fantastic, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!

Traveling with a child and encountering rain left me with mixed feelings. The hotel itself is quite good and suitable for families with kids. There's a kids' club with some play equipment, and a swimming pool. Even if you don't go out, there's plenty to do within the hotel. It would be great if they could add more children's decor to the rooms. The room layout is quite unique and spacious enough for kids to run around without worry. They also provide a capsule coffee machine, which isn't common in other hotels. The staff were all very enthusiastic; even though you could tell they were busy, they all worked hard.
