Xining Sanyu Hotel

Highly recommended hotel! Firstly, the front desk staff were warm, efficient, and professional. Seeing that we had a child, they proactively upgraded our room based on availability, making the whole process smooth and comfortable. Secondly, the hotel rooms are well-equipped, with relatively new facilities, air conditioning, and spacious, clean interiors. Thirdly, during peak delivery times when the robots were overwhelmed, the hotel staff helped deliver our takeout to the room. Their service-oriented mindset and willingness to go the extra mile for guests were impressive. Fourthly, the location is very convenient, making dining, entertainment, and shopping easily accessible. Overall, I personally think this is a hotel worth recommending to good friends.

The hotel's location is great, and the service is excellent. It's very clean, and the complimentary yogurt and snacks were delicious. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, my child absolutely loved it! It's a shame we were short on time and couldn't experience the gym and yoga room. Next time I'm in Xining, I'll definitely choose this hotel again!

Overall, I was satisfied with the room. A special shout-out to the restaurant – even though it was busy during breakfast, the space was large, and the service was very well-organized, so it never felt cramped. However, for a hotel of this caliber in Xining, the hairdryer was incredibly old-fashioned. It was loud, the air was very hot but didn't dry my hair, and after a while, I could smell something burning because of the high-temperature protection kicking in. I have long hair, and it took me a full 15 minutes to still not dry it. Plus, I accidentally got a bunch of hair caught in the intake vent on the back. I really suggest upgrading to a more modern hairdryer.

Check-in: The system was sluggish, and the front desk claimed the internet was down again. Room: We booked for two adults and one child, but the pillows weren't adequately provided. The mini-fridge price list for drinks was on the minibar, but the mini-fridge was empty, so what's the point of the price list? Bathroom: The liquid toiletries were of poor quality, yet they still branded them with the Sanyu logo. The hairdryer was a terrible choice. Breakfast: A complete disaster! No one to seat guests, it was chaotic, and despite many staff members, they were all just milling around with extremely low efficiency. Breakfast hours were 7:00-10:00, and we went at 8:30. The food quality was poor, and the kitchen's on-site management was terrible. I asked for an omelet, and they flat-out said no, only fried eggs, with a firm and take-it-or-leave-it attitude! I was shocked. How did Trip.com select this hotel? How do they supervise and evaluate it? The milk quality was poor, there was no freshly squeezed juice, the coffee was bad, the desserts and bread had no variety and poor quality, and the yogurt wasn't refrigerated nor was it on ice… Complaint Handling: I tried to find the F&B director at the restaurant, but it was the weekend, and he was off. No one in charge was willing to come out. I called Trip.com, who handled it professionally, and then I received a call back from a lobby manager who was clueless. I requested to speak with the hotel's duty manager, and the person who called back was a man responsible for the kitchen, which was fitting. He immediately asked how I wanted to resolve it, implying he wasn't really concerned. I listed out all the issues one by one, and he replied, 'Minor oversight.' Nothing was resolved. Additional points: 1) Unused 'clean' linens and bathrobes were stored in the laundry cart. 2) When checking out at 11:35, there was no one at the front desk, only two concierges, who said everyone had gone for lunch. Excellent management! 👍

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The location is ideal, the service is attentive, the bedding is comfortable, and the cleanliness is also quite good. The breakfast is abundant with many choices. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The room was great and very comfortable, with air conditioning. The staff were also very welcoming. The snow leopard room card was a nice touch!

We booked a family suite, and it was really nice and spacious. The service was excellent, and there weren't many people around, which was great. The kids loved it, and it was quiet for sleeping. It really was a good experience, and it wasn't too crowded.

Quite a peculiar experience. On the first day, we were told there were gas repairs and hot water would only be available from 6 PM. However, by midnight, there was still no hot water. After a tiring day of travel, all we wanted was a hot shower, but it was impossible. To top it off, the pipe under the sink in our room was leaking. We had to switch rooms. We were too tired to bother moving again, so we just made do. Overall, it's pretty average, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited. I hope things improve in the future.

The facilities are new and feel luxurious. The service is excellent, and the room offers a beautiful panoramic view of the central square. It's also very close to Xinghai Road Food Street, making it convenient to sample authentic Qinghai cuisine.
