Hampton by Hilton Harbin Zhongyang Street

This hotel truly made me feel so welcome and cared for. Manager Manqi from the front desk called me a day in advance to confirm my check-in needs, and upon arrival, she was incredibly warm and attentive, fulfilling all my requests. On the first day of the ***** New Year, we wanted tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls), as is customary in the south, and even though we asked last minute, they immediately found a pot and cooked a bowl for us. On the evening of the first day, all the shops outside were closed, and we couldn't find anything to eat. When we returned to the hotel, they had prepared dumplings and tangyuan. Manager Xiao Shi stayed late, making sure to cook tangyuan and dumplings for guests who hadn't had dinner. They really go above and beyond to meet any need you have. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, this is by far the most thoughtful. Everyone here is so warm and attentive.

The beef noodles for breakfast were delicious! My flight was delayed, and I discussed a two-hour late check-out with the lovely lady at the front desk. Before I left, they even gave me a pony as a gift.

The water temperature was inconsistent, and the sofa was disgustingly stained 🤮. Breakfast was poor, and the service was bad.

The Hampton by Hilton Harbin Central Street is severely misrepresented. It's branded as the 'Central Street' location but is actually in Nangang District, a 10-15 minute taxi ride away from Central Street across districts. The name is extremely misleading! There were people smoking in the lobby, and the hallways and elevators reeked of cigarette smoke. I had pre-booked a non-smoking floor, but from entering the building to my room, I was constantly enveloped in the smell of second-hand smoke. The hallway ceilings are extremely low; at 182cm tall, I almost hit my head. Room ventilation is terrible; there's no fan indicator in the bathroom, so shower steam lingers forever, and the drain is incredibly slow. There's no luggage rack, so my 28-inch suitcase had to sit on the floor, blocking the narrow walkway. There are only five or six hangers, nowhere to put thick winter clothes. The room lacks a sofa, and the only desk and kettle stand aren't enough for belongings. The space design is incredibly illogical. The stay experience was far worse than a budget hotel and completely inconsistent with the brand's positioning. The only positive is the location: it's right next to Exit 4 of the Museum Metro Station, with plenty of dining options nearby.

I travel frequently and often stay at Hilton hotels. The service is always excellent, and the hotel environment and breakfast are consistently top-notch. The staff's service attitude is truly outstanding.
