Sherwood Residence

I had booked a 2-bedroom unit, but they upgraded me to a 3-bedroom one. A deposit of about 6000 yen per day was required. Since I stayed for 4 nights, I paid 24000 yen initially by credit card, and they processed the refund upon check-out. As I had an early check-out, around 4 AM, I was told to wait about 5 minutes in the lobby for the room check after informing them. They brought the refund slip quite quickly. The front desk staff were all very pleasant and communicated smoothly in English. Because of the early check-out, I picked up a breakfast box (with sandwiches, fruits, Danish pastries, and cookies) from the lobby the night before the last day. (I had requested this in advance, and they explained it during check-in). The small bananas were surprisingly delicious! There were also a pool, table tennis, and billiards. My kids enjoyed interacting with Australian children over table tennis and other activities. Since my family loves going to the pool daily, this hotel was perfect. The breakfast taste was ordinary. I wish it had been a bit more delicious. The road in front of the hotel got quite congested during squalls.

The three of us stayed in the "Premier 3-Bedroom Suite" this time. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, but there were also a few areas that need improvement. For instance, the dressing table lacked a desk lamp and an electrical outlet. As for the dryer, apart from the dusty exterior, the lint filter inside was completely covered in dust as well. The hotel provided 4 small bottles of water. When we went down to the front desk in person to ask for a few more, the receptionist actually refused and made up various excuses. To be honest, I have never seen such hotel service; it turns out that a few bottles of water are that valuable to them! Finally, regarding check-out, it took them nearly ten minutes to inspect the room before returning the deposit. During this process, they actually claimed a bath towel was missing, though they naturally found it in the end... I want to point out that, to be fair, why didn't the hotel provide a checklist upon check-in so I could know what furniture items and quantities were handed over to me? If the bath towel was missed by housekeeping, holding us responsible for it would be extremely unfair and bound to cause disputes!

The room is spacious and very comfortable, with plenty of room for kids to run around without any problem. The soundproofing in the bedroom is average—not particularly great, but not terrible either. The hotel's location is quite central, making it easy to get almost anywhere. The downside is that the surrounding area consists mostly of one-way streets and gets heavily congested during morning and evening rush hours, so it's best to get around by scooter. The staff are extremely friendly. Although you can tell the hotel has some age to it, the environment and facilities are very well maintained and cared for. There are no weird smells at all; in fact, the lobby and elevators feature a pleasant fragrance, which was a delightful surprise. Plus, the price is very reasonable! However! Watch out for your personal valuables! A friend of mine had nearly 10 million VND stolen inside, which is equivalent to over 10,000 TWD.

Right from the entrance, it has a good vibe, and the staff are friendly. The room is clean, a great place to bring parents. Breakfast is really delicious; I highly recommend trying it.

The hotel matches the description. The room is large, clean, and super comfortable, with everything needed for a family stay (a full set of dishes, enough to even invite guests over! 🙂, plenty of hangers – which are usually hard to find, oh, my favorite hooks in the bathroom, an iron, an ironing board, a washing machine, a dryer, and a ceiling drying rack, etc.). The only downside is the low sound insulation, as you can hear the street. The pool is cool, just right, and towels are provided. The location is excellent, with a mini park and KFC nearby, and it's a 15-20 minute walk to attractions like the Post Office, the Square, Notre Dame, Vincom Center, and small shops. The staff is responsive, friendly, and speaks English. They do take a deposit for the stay. Overall, it's a good hotel.

Although it's a bit far from the main street, being away from the noise of cars and motorbikes was a relief, and even on the second floor, it didn't bother me at all.

Everything was great, we stayed for one day while passing through, and the staff was very professional.
