ANA Crowne Plaza AKITA by IHG

The hotel is quite close to Akita Station; you can see it a few minutes after exiting the station and walking along the passage. However, the facilities are very old. Although it's been renovated, the carpets are still very dusty, and there was even a disposable cup next to the sofa, possibly left by a previous guest – it was just terrible. The room I booked included executive lounge access, and the booking mentioned dinner, but it turned out to be just a few small snacks to go with drinks. When checking in, the front desk said the reservation was for 6 PM. After entering our room, someone knocked on the door saying they made a mistake and asked if we could adjust it to 7:15 PM, but the lounge closed at 7:30 PM. It wasted our time, and we got nothing out of it, only managing to have a few drinks.

The room was clean and tidy, with an expansive view outside the window. The lounge service was warm and attentive. What impressed me most was the prompt and thoughtful room service. When the room temperature dropped at night, the hotel immediately arranged for the air conditioning to be repaired and provided additional heating equipment and blankets, making the room warm again instantly. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Akita.

Excellent service and a very convenient location. The executive lounge breakfast, in particular, was exceptional and exceeded our expectations.

This hotel is located in the heart of Akita City, about a 5-minute walk from Akita Station. It's surrounded by shopping centers like Seibu Department Store, as well as numerous restaurants and convenience stores, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of local specialties, including fruits and Inaniwa udon, all while providing scenic views of the surroundings.
