Just back from staying here ! Arrived late at night and had no issues checking in and arrived to a clean modern room but a tad on the small side but with a nice size balcony. Having went down for breakfast the next morning it became apparent that the food was rather average and lukewarm the majority of the week . We actually ended up eating in the chargeable theatre bar as the service and food temperature was much better ! Staff in that area were fantastic. Pool side we found pretty dirty to be honest furniture and bar area wasn’t the cleanest at all . Be prepared to que at 930ish to get a lounger ! Entertainment was aimed much more to the Spanish kids than the British . Checked out at 12pm to be told that was our all inclusive finished and WiFi etc until our 530pm which was rather disappointing.

I spent 5 nights at this hotel on half-board as a solo traveller, overall a nicely refurbished hotel and generally clean hotel with friendly staff and good sized rooms but I experienced several issues so would not class as 4*: Issues: -Only one sheet to sleep with, I appreciate this is spanish culture but would expect the option of duvet at a 4* hotel and having requested a duvet across 2 days i was finally given a wooly yellow blanket, something akin to a custody suite at a police station which i did not use. -Lack of towel changing. On day 4 of my stay i was still using the same towels, I had left one set on the floor and these were taken away and not replaced. Having complained to guest relations that morning at around 930am, by 6pm these towels had still not been replaced and i had to complain again. - Serious fly issue in dining hall and lack of food covering!! -Limited food labelling in the restaurant, I had no idea what most dishes were so simply avoided them! Overall, a disappointing stay and I would likely not return.

Visited Playamojacar June 2026. Overall: Beautiful place with beautiful people, we hope to come back again!! Muchos Gracias to everyone People: Every single person we met were helpful, friendly and genuine. We were made to feel comfortable instantly, and everyone was themselves. Massive thank you to the reception team, housekeeping, restaurant/bar team and especially the entertainment team. (I am terrible at remembering names but Alfie says thank you for making his holiday more special) They made the whole experience feel more comfortable and great atmosphere throughout. Hotel: Beautiful building, clean, has everything there you need, didnt feel like we needed to leave. Restaurants, bar, entertainment, free mini golf & table tennis, small games room, pool with slides, Gym, Small shop with pool stuff Pool: Watched a team of 5plus clean the pool and whole area for about an hour every morning. There's 4 separate sections, literally space for everyone. (Swimming pool, hot tub, kids area, slides) We only tried the slides once, the blue one was shockingly fast and it did hurt my lower back hitting the water so put me off going back on. But the rest of the pool was so good we didnt mind. Lots of chairs, umbrellas and the bar. 3 life guards on at busy times. Room: Clean, spacious, has USB plugs, towels, mini fridge, fan, air con, balconies with beautiful view. Asked for extra pillows and were set up by the time we got back to the room. They are cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast. Room service was an option but we just got drinks from the bar etc and then went to relax in the room with them. Kids club: Resort has a talented group of entertainers that host a range of activities that are varied, inclusive, relaxed, fun. You have a choice of leaving children with them or staying and joining in too. They host all ages activities too like pool dances during the day and bingo in evening. Food/drinks: Had all inclusive; Get breakfast, lunch, Dinner, then in-between those times there is unlimited pizza, crisps, ice cream and range of drinks all day. Kitchen team would walk around the buffet every day making sure everything was replenished, fresh and they were available for any questions. One of the stations in Restaurant you could watch some things be made fresh (fish, steak, omelette, pancakes). Good range of local style food but also classics to keep fussy eaters happy. Bar in entertainment room as well as at the side of the pool; coffee, cocktails, beers, soft drinks, water- all included. More premium items available at supplements too. Location: Its a quiet town which we thought was perfect. 5 minute walk to beach(all of them were a bit stoney), 10 minute walk to shops(souvenirs, markets). 30 min walk to bigger shops/restaurants. 1hr40mins drive from Murcia airport. Would highly recommend getting a hire car(we used "Centuro" 10/10).

We visited Mojacar Playa Aquapark hotel 21st-28th July. The staff are lovely very children orientated,  really helpful especially Natalia the Receptionist. Rooms are clean, spacious, well maintained and cool with the aircon (sometimes too cool on a night), plenty of hanging space and shelving for clothing. Food not much choice and we're not fussy eaters so a bit disappointing. Hotel facilities are great bus stop straight outside hotel for Mojacar (L1) and Gurracha (L2) & only €1.20 pp. Only a short walk to the beach. Restaurants are a bit further down if you dont mind a walk. There were 2 lovely places close by called Restaurant Thomas for yummy Paella and we enjoyed light meals at The Rusty Nail. Gurracha market on a friday was also well worth a visit. Hotel great for kids with the 3 large slides, baby pool, large pool, jacuzzi, mini golf, on an evening a mini disco. Pool was great and we as a family of 3 managed to get sunbeds whenever we ventured down. Lifeguards fab by the slides. Although did notice that they seem to miss the Spanish children under 15 in the Jacuzzi quite a lot of the time.

The bedrooms were good in size with a good balcony however there were stains all over the balcony and on the ceiling and there was a lot of stains on the skirting board. The cleaners also did not change the bed covers at all as there was the same pink stain on my bed covers. Also I would like to add the toilet was tiny I could hardly sit down on it and the shower was terrible it would go so hot then so cold. The pool was decent size but not deep at all I’m 5,7 and my chest was above water the whole time and the water slides were decent however 3 of us injured ourselves. There were stains on the sun beds and the umbrellas kept on falling over on to everyone in the pool and hit people as it was windy. The pool was also right next to the car park and always cars coming past wich is not a relaxing and pleasant scenery. The entertainment was poor like honestly was terrible and the bartender took ages to do a simple drink in the theatre bar and seemed very rude. Also when checking out we asked for some water but we couldn’t refill our bottles as we checked out. The food was alright however it lacks variety as it was pretty much the same everyday. Also on the last day I got a rice pudding and forgot my spoon so I went back to get a spoon and there about 5 workers taking the rice pudding away and they said how the milk was bad so they clearly used out of date milk and warned me not to eat it.

The hotel itself was clean and the staff were friendly. We had an ocean view room on a half board basis. Sadly, the food was awful and cold 😞 we were always early for both breakfast and dinner in the hope it would be hotter but it wasn't. We usually stay at Pueblo Indalo which is right in the middle of the playa, this hotel was quite far out and a fair 40 minute walk to get to the decent bars and restaurants. Would we stay at this hotel again ? No, we will stick with Indalo.

The 5 of us, wife and 3 kids, spent a week half board here, with not much on YouTube, we relied on reviews to let us know what we was in for and they're all completlety fair. The location is remote, a couple of off site souvenir shops and restaurants, but nothing else going for it apart from the lovely beach, the sea is shallow and warm, you have to give Seb and Deb and visit on thier on beach pop up bar! The hotel itself is a 4*, very modern interior and rooms are lovely, all with balcony sea views and everything was clean and tidy. The boys room had an ant invasion, which after reporting it to the desk, was dealt with promptly. All staff were lovely, most can speak good English, so no communication breakdown. The resturant was very clean and tidy, very attentive staff turning tables fast ready for the next lot. The food was disappointing to be honest, as many other reviews point out also, most days you'd walk up to all these things in a pot and no clue what they were? Alot of missing signage as to what the thing are. And the most disappointing thing was after you tracked down something that looks nice, it was cold, or warm at best! Such a shame, not to mention quite dangerous depending on whats on offer. Not being kept warm from a heat lamp below or above, just cooked and then left on the side to cool down, which is more than i can say for the plates! They were all kept under a heat lamp so hot, i burnt myslef picking one up, id have no chance burning anything on the food. This was my biggest disappointment with the hotel, its not much to ask for hot food. Moving outside, the pool and outside facilities were great, pool just over a meter depth, so safe for all kids competent at swimming, great water slides, and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas, we never went without. The whole area was turned down, cleaned and prepared for the next day with plenty of bins located for trash. The evening entertainment was ok, most of it all in spanish, so struggled to keep up with what was happening. Overall, this is a very traditional spanish hotel, food bad, staff excellent, rooms excellent, facilities good. Its remote, but great for relaxing and staying away from the busy tourist spots, only a handful of English, which is also a good thing as we can overcrowd and ruin places. Would stay here again, if they served HOT food 👌🏽
