Four Seasons Hotel Madrid

Four Seasons is consistently reliable – it's never a jaw-dropping experience, but you're definitely never disappointed. However, because it rarely exceeds expectations, I feel the value for money is slightly less appealing. I'd lean towards Mandarin Oriental instead.

After a frustrating experience at the Sofitel in Lisbon, I was immediately put at ease by the warm and professional front desk staff upon arriving at the Four Seasons in Madrid. The bellhop who helped with my luggage to the room was also very enthusiastic, even offering to get me more water, to which I replied I would call if needed. The hotel's location, as expected, is right in the heart of the shopping district. The ambiance perfectly matches the hotel's standards. In contrast, the Oriental Mandarin in Barcelona had much smaller rooms. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay at the Four Seasons this time.

Service was very inconsistent, at times negligent and inattentive, at times good. The food in the lobby was of poor quality; lipstick on a glass was reported. The location and hotel facilities were very good and stylish.

We stayed in a suite. This hotel is absolutely outstanding – the location, decor, and service are all top-notch, plus there's a balcony where you can smoke. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey.

The room was large and clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly!
