Mansion 1903 Hotel

I arrived in the rain. It's just a short walk to Central Street, but the hotel is definitely quite old, much older than I expected. Even though they upgraded my room, it still felt old inside, and I lost the desire to take photos. I didn't even bother washing up that night, but for just one night's sleep, it was acceptable. Perhaps it was because the air conditioning had to be turned on after I entered the room, and the initial smell wasn't great. The service was also just average; no one offered to tell me about the century-old elevator, I had to ask about everything myself (though it seems to be common in the North). However, once I asked, the service was quite good. For breakfast, you have to leave the hotel and go downstairs. The breakfast was decent; you could order freshly made Eggs Benedict and smoked salmon sandwiches, in addition to the regular buffet. The 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was excellent, by the way. Overall, it was okay, but I wouldn't stay there again because I prefer newer hotels.

I brought my parents, who are in their 80s, to Northeast China, and Harbin was our first stop. I specifically chose this hotel because it has a unique character. First and foremost, the location is incredibly convenient. It's only about 50 meters from the central part of Central Street, surrounded by many great restaurants, making it easy to get around. The hotel isn't large, I believe they mentioned 45 rooms. Since my parents have limited mobility, the Noble Garden Room we originally booked required a few steps, so we paid to upgrade to a suite. The decor is quite opulent, and the bathroom is very spacious. You can also experience the century-old elevator once. Overall, the service was very friendly. The only drawback is that breakfast is served in the basement, and you have to go outside and down a set of stairs from the hotel, which wasn't very convenient for my elderly parents. All in all, if the price is right and it's not peak season, I would highly recommend it.

St. Sophia Cathedral is also within walking distance. The location truly is a major advantage. The building itself is a century-old Western-style mansion. The crystal chandeliers in the lobby, the carved staircase, and the oil paintings on the walls create a wonderful atmosphere. The most unique feature is the century-old elevator that's still in use; riding it gives you a real sense of history, an experience you won't find in other hotels. The room was meticulously clean. While it looked vintage, it was equipped with modern amenities like a smart toilet, humidifier, and capsule coffee machine. The bedding was comfortable, and I had a great rest after a long day of exploring. The service left a deep impression. I was offered a hot drink upon check-in, my luggage was delivered to my room, and I received a welcome fruit platter. They even gave me a small souvenir upon check-out, which was a thoughtful touch. You can also try on Russian-style costumes for free and take great photos right inside the hotel, no need to specially look for scenic spots outside. The breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties and Russian dishes. If you're looking for a unique experience in Harbin, this place is highly recommended. It's not just a trendy photo op; it's genuinely comfortable. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

Harbin Central Avenue Grand Mansion is the top choice for any fashion-loving lady traveling to the city. It boasts a rich history and exquisite Russian architectural style, with its interior decoration incredibly well-preserved. The hotel offers Russian-style clothing for all guests to experience and take photos in. Staying at the Grand Mansion truly makes you feel like royalty. They even provide a photographer to capture your beautiful outfits, and you can even take the clothes back to your room for your own private photoshoot. An even bigger surprise was receiving a small gift upon checkout – a "designer" bag, tee hee!

The front desk service was very warm and welcoming, and the winter melon tea was delicious. The bed in the room was comfortable, and it was very quiet outside the window. The location is excellent, right on Central Street with plenty of great restaurants. The hotel's exterior resembles an Italian hotel, especially when lit up at night, giving it a very classic and historical feel. The TV comes with a built-in membership and screen casting, which was a great bonus. The breakfast was abundant, with delicious big rice balls, grilled sausages, and freshly pan-fried steak. The only minor drawback was the limited variety of bread, and both of the two main course options were quite unappetizing, consistently so for both days we ate there, not as good as self-serve options. We also received tickets to the fairytale museum upon check-in, which our child really enjoyed for taking photos. Overall, highly recommended! 😀👍

Staying at the Grand Mansion 1903 was the most delightful decision I made on my trip to Harbin! It's right next to Central Street, and walking to St. Sophia Church is incredibly convenient. The lobby instantly blew me away with its gilded dome, brass and crystal chandeliers, and antique Russian oil paintings – every snap looked like a vintage masterpiece! The absolute highlight was the century-old antique elevator; pulling its retro iron gate felt like being transported back to 1903. The hotel also gave us a complimentary room upgrade. Our room featured Russian carved decor and velvet drapes, and the bathroom even had a gilded bathtub. Plus, they offer free palace costume rentals for dress-up, and breakfast in the sunken Russian-style restaurant was an experience in itself. This hotel is rich in history and charm; I highly recommend it!

This hotel, built in 1903, has a century of history. The old elevator is very charming and antique, and I was lucky enough to experience it. The decor is classic and unique, with oil paintings everywhere, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. It's right by Central Street, so shopping and dining options are plentiful. I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!

The service was warm and attentive, and the room was clean, tidy, and spacious. Perhaps because the room was in a corner, there was a loud plumbing noise at night. Photos without makeup were free, but full makeup and styling cost 199 or 299. Photos were taken in the lobby. The breakfast buffet really didn't match the hotel at all; the variety was limited, and even someone not picky about food found it unappetizing. I suggest improvements, or if it's outsourced, consider changing providers. There were welcome fruits upon check-in and a small gift upon check-out.

The service was absolutely exceptional, and the hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, steeped in history. It's incredibly opulent and makes for fantastic photos. Our butler was incredibly attentive throughout our stay, constantly surprising us with thoughtful touches. I highly recommend it for families with children. Its location is super convenient, just a two-minute walk from Central Street. We also loved the experience of the hundred-year-old Russian aristocratic elevator; dating back to 1903, it was still remarkably quiet and smooth. I really appreciate the sense of history and age it brings. As we were leaving, we received another lovely surprise from our butler – such a thoughtful gesture! 🥰 Loved it! 🤩
