Harbin Central Street Habsburg Hotel (Sofia Church)

The restaurant is fantastic, and the breakfast selection is rich, available until 12:00 PM. Afternoon tea is also provided. This is my second time staying at this hotel in Harbin, and I must give it a good review. The service is meticulous and thoughtful. They provide kettle descaler, and there are hotel disinfectant wipes by the bedside. Disposable face towels are also offered. The view of the Songhua River is excellent. If I have a chance to visit Harbin again, I will definitely stay here.

“Princess, your carriage awaits!” – That's how I was greeted upon arrival at this hotel, and it immediately set a grand tone. The service was excellent; every staff member I encountered greeted me warmly. Due to a change in my plans, I wanted to extend my check-out time to the afternoon, and the front desk was very helpful in arranging that. The hotel room was very spacious, and apart from the slightly small beds in the twin room, everything else was perfect. The location is superb; I had a view of Friendship Palace and the Songhua River right from my window. There's a subway entrance right outside, and it's just a few stops to the Ice and Snow World.

The restaurant is fantastic! Every staff member greets you with a smile, and they even have 3D printed yogurt. I've never seen a hotel breakfast that's open until midnight – you could practically have it for lunch! It's especially great for families traveling with kids. They also offer special Northeastern regional dishes like Guo Bao Rou (crispy fried pork), Stewed Chicken with Mushrooms, and red sausages. Plus, they have unique creations like sauerkraut and red sausage egg tarts, and Guo Bao Rou burgers. The room is spacious with a great view, and we even received welcome gifts upon check-in. Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The hotel's location is also excellent; it's within walking distance to the riverside, Central Street, and other attractions.

This was my second stay at Hotel Habsburg, and it was an excellent experience once again. The location is superb, right across from the subway station and a cable car stop. You can easily walk to the riverside and Central Street, and there are many great restaurants nearby. Ordering takeout is also very convenient. The room was very large and spacious, and the direct view of the Songhua River was absolutely delightful. The room was cleaned immaculately every day, and fresh fruit was provided daily. All the hotel staff were fantastic, always greeting us with a smile whenever we entered or left.

The restaurant is great, with a rich breakfast buffet, a lovely ambiance, and excellent facilities. My kids absolutely loved it, and the variety of dishes meant they looked forward to hotel breakfast every day! The hotel also has washing machines and dryers, so we didn't have to worry about running out of clean clothes during our stay. They even neatly fold and pack your laundry after drying, which is a really thoughtful touch!

We arrived at our first hotel to the sound of "Princess, your carriage awaits!" and from that moment on, we didn't have to lift a finger – the service was incredibly warm and welcoming. The location is excellent: 5 minutes from Central Avenue, 1 minute from the subway, and right opposite a castle. The hotel offers princess dresses to wear, even for children, which made for some very happy photos. The restaurant is fantastic with a great ambiance. The facilities are comprehensive. The afternoon tea was a bit mediocre, probably skippable.

The location is fantastic, right by the Songhua River! Cross the road and you're at the Songhua River and the cable car. It's just a 3-minute walk to the Flood Control Memorial Tower and Central Avenue. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked in and checked out. Our room included afternoon tea and snacks, and the breakfast was superb – truly outstanding! They had different Northeastern specialties every day, plus a wide variety of Russian dishes. You can really get a taste of the local cuisine. Highly recommended!

Recommended by a friend, I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from Youyi Palace Station on Line 3. The Songhua River Cableway and the tourist double-decker bus stop are also nearby. Taking a stroll along the Songhua River embankment in the evening was very pleasant. The breakfast was abundant, and the staff in all departments were proactive and attentive in their service. I plan to visit Harbin again in winter and will definitely stay here again.
