Fairmont Sanya Haitang Bay

This hotel is truly unique! Besides the incredible boat experience, they have a packed schedule of activities and cultural performances. The beach is absolutely stunning, and Wuzhizhou Island right across the way makes for fantastic photos. The afternoon tea was also excellent. We spent our days just eating and having fun; the hotel kept us fully entertained. Our butler, Xixi, was incredibly thoughtful. They sent us the activity schedule even before check-in and even helped us get a late check-out on our third day. Definitely worth a return visit!

This hotel has so much character! The wood carvings and domed ceilings are beautiful, and it feels like Venice since it's built right on the water. Our butler, Xixi, was incredibly attentive and always there to help with anything we needed. The sunset ceremony, fire show, and buffet were all fantastic, and there were tons of activities for the kids. The wooden art exhibition hall was really impressive and full of history. The pool was clean, and being so close to the ocean in Haitang Bay, the water was crystal clear and transparent – you could even see Wuzhizhou Island in the distance. It was a truly beautiful trip to Sanya, and we'll definitely be back to stay here again!

The room facilities are very new, and the beach is uncrowded and comfortable. The hairdryer and toiletries are also from good brands. The butler was excellent, and the hotel service was very good. The hotel has a unique Southeast Asian style, and there's a Chinese wood art museum inside. However, the travel photography wasn't great. I hope there will be seating available when checking in at the front desk. The breakfast was good, with a rich variety including Wuhan hot dry noodles and knife-cut noodles. Haha ❤️, I'll consider coming again next time.

Make sure to add the butler's WeChat before checking in! The hotel has unique features: A 1200-meter 'Yunhe River' flows through the property, offering gondola and dragon boat rides. There are stone arch bridges and a mix of Dongyang wood carving and Nanyang Chinese style. The nine-story caisson ceiling in the lobby is a must-see photo spot. The sunset lighting ceremony and Li minority fire dance show in the evening are signature attractions, making it stand out among the sea-view rooms in Haitang Bay for its high 'photo-op' potential. The rooms are spacious: Even the basic garden-view rooms start from 65㎡, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony. Some room types come with a scenic bathtub on the balcony. Family suites start from 110㎡ and include a separate children's room, providing ample space for families with kids to spread out their luggage without feeling cramped. Lots of activities for children: There's an indoor 'Feifei Kids' Club' (ages 4-12) and 'Mengmeng Toddler World' (ages 0-3) with separate zones, offering activities like handicrafts, shell painting, bubble parties, and a 7D cinema. Outdoors, there's a shallow children's pool, a mini-train, golf putting, go-karts, tree climbing, and sand digging. The butler/recreation staff schedules daily classes, giving parents a chance to relax.

This hotel has a lovely French flair, with palm trees, lawns, and the ocean right there – it truly feels like a vacation. The service is excellent; the staff are all very warm and welcoming. The breakfast is good with plenty of choices. The complimentary photoshoot provided by the hotel also turned out really well.

For a five-star hotel in Haitang Bay, this room was truly disappointing. The facilities were poor: the mirror on the bathroom wall was broken. The cleanliness was unacceptable: there were even grains of rice on the slippers. The room's overall decor was okay, but it felt very, very old, and the baseboards were incredibly dirty. As for the 'garden view' room, all we could see was a parking lot and charging stations.

For this price and service, I honestly can't complain about a thing! **Ambiance:** The scenery is absolutely stunning, both day and night! The weather has been fantastic lately, with clear blue skies during the day, and beautiful evenings. The first picture shows the hotel's iconic building, taken at sunset – it really gives off a vacation vibe! The hotel is huge; I found myself walking quite a bit without even realizing it. Even with asking staff and following signs, you might still get a little lost! The entire hotel is beautifully designed, and the canals and boat rides make it feel like a Venetian water city. **Dining:** Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The pork offal noodle soup was very popular; there was always a queue for it. I had it both days, and it came with lean meat, shrimp, and pork offal. On the third day, I tried the shrimp and pork wontons, which I preferred, and my child loved them too. They also have iced latte and iced Americano; I only tried the iced latte and it was good. The grilled sausage was beef, and the handmade noodles came with either tomato and egg or braised pork sauce – the noodles were very springy. I have to give a big shout-out to the bread – the waffles were delicious, with 6 or 7 different sauces! I loved the chocolate and blueberry sauces. Spreading butter on toast is super high in calories but so tasty, and the durian croissant was also very fragrant. The package included two 'Golden Goblet' privileges: two afternoon tea vouchers and two dinner vouchers. There were hot dishes and cocktails, enough to feed us and our child. The tomato and egg noodles and braised pork noodles were very good, even more flavorful than the breakfast noodles. **Service:** The hotel also assigned us a butler. My butler, 'Xixi ❤️', was excellent! Any request I had was answered promptly, and even when I didn't have any, she would check in to see if I needed anything. She even helped us extend our check-out to 2 PM so we could enjoy the hotel's swimming activities! Our stay also included a complimentary travel photoshoot. The curly-haired photographer was very dedicated, his posing guidance was spot-on, and the resulting photos were beautiful! He managed to capture all the scenes we wanted. **Activities:** The hotel offers various free activities from morning till night. We tried golf, go-karting, a science fun class, swimming lessons, and a surfing experience – all were a lot of fun! It was very sunny during the day in summer, so we spent two days playing in the indoor children's playground, where there were many kids to play with. **Minor Drawbacks:** The sinks in the rooms were a bit shallow, so water tended to splash out. The room had a slight smell when we first entered, but it dissipated after an hour of ventilation and was gone after staying one night. There were a few too many mirrors in the room, and the bathtub on the balcony is really only suitable for kids to play in. Overall, I'm very satisfied! I'll definitely choose to stay at Fairmont again next time I'm in Sanya!

It was past 9 PM when we arrived at the hotel. As soon as we saw it, our eyes lit up, confirming we had made the right choice. The hotel boasts excellent design, and our room was clean, tidy, and spacious, with a large balcony and a big bathtub (which I didn't use). The mattress was very comfortable. The breakfast selection was extensive. We stayed for three days, and each morning we'd have breakfast, go for a swim, relax, and then look for dinner. It was a truly pleasant and leisurely vacation. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly nice, especially Xixi from Guest Relations ❤. Although our requests were simple, like asking for bottled water or extra towels, the response was always prompt, and their service-mindedness was exceptional, making us feel very comfortable. I hope to have the opportunity to visit a Fairmont again next time. Until we meet again!

Booked rooms for my parents and their friends. The breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, and the hotel itself is large with fantastic views. My parents really enjoyed their stay, and we'll definitely be back!
