Hotel Nikko Fukuoka

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Fukuoka!! It's about 300 meters from Hakata Station, just across the street. All the staff are lovely ladies who proactively helped with my luggage as soon as I entered. The room, at 29 square meters, is quite spacious for Japan, clean and tidy. They not only provide two bottles of mineral water but also allow you to grab more from the lobby on the first floor as needed. The toiletries are from the La Mer series, and the showerhead is particularly comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly amazing, with fresh sea bream sashimi and homemade affogato available. I'm so satisfied!!! If you're coming to Fukuoka, you must stay at Hotel Nikko!!!

If you're walking above ground from Hakata Subway Station, take Exit West 12. If you're using the underground shopping area, take the elevator to B1 and then switch to the hotel's elevator. The lobby is quite grand, and the front desk service was good; they arranged a room for me on the top floor (14th floor). For a Japanese hotel, the room size was very good. I could open two 26-inch suitcases on the floor. There were plenty of outlets in the room, but no USB charging ports, so make sure to bring your two-prong adapters 🔌. The hotel is connected to an underground passage. Turning left leads to Gion Station, and turning right leads to Hakata Station. Just outside the hotel entrance, to the right, there's a large 7-Eleven, which is very convenient for grabbing snacks at night. Japan now has an accommodation tax, which will be collected upon checkout.

The room was very spacious, perfect for a solo traveler. I absolutely loved the mattress – not too soft, not too hard. The hotel lobby had a grand, stylish feel. Breakfast was decent, offering all the essentials. I particularly loved the location; just cross the street from the hotel and you're at Hakata Station. Coming back after a day out felt like returning home. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, making it incredibly quiet, almost like a meditation retreat. The only slight issue was on the last night when two very loud Korean guests checked into the room next door, but they quieted down by around 11 PM. I would definitely stay at Hotel Nikko again.

The hotel's location is fantastic. It's just a 3-minute walk from the main exit of Hakata Station, right along the main road. Canal City is also close by, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel lobby is truly grand, and the newly renovated rooms, though slightly more expensive, boast brand-new facilities that make for a very comfortable stay. The internet connection was good, the room size was decent, and the design was well-thought-out.

The environment and service are top-notch, and the breakfast is amazing. Definitely worth staying again.

I've stayed at Hotel Nikko several times when visiting Japan, and the hotels are always well-maintained, and the staff are very welcoming. The Hotel Nikko Fukuoka is conveniently located near Hakata Station, and there's a direct underground passage from the hotel's B1 level to nearby shopping malls and Hakata Station. Taking a taxi to the airport is also very easy. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This is an older hotel chain, and I chose it this time because the first hotel I stayed at in Japan over a decade ago was a Nikko. I haven't picked it in a long time, so I wanted to try it again, purely for nostalgic reasons. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, and the service remains good. However, during this stay, they were undergoing exterior renovations, which meant I couldn't open the curtains, making the room feel a bit claustrophobic. The hotel didn't mention this special circumstance on the booking platform, nor did they inform me during check-in. They also didn't offer to move me to a room not affected by the renovations or provide any other form of compensation. The complete lack of communication and options is truly unacceptable. Hotel Nikko Fukuoka is an established hotel in Fukuoka that I've stayed at a few times. It's very conveniently located close to the station, and you can even access the Hakata Station underground from its B2 level, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel service is consistently excellent. Although the facilities are a bit older, they are very well-maintained. The room size is decent, and the soundproofing is good, making it very quiet. The only thing I found a bit unusual was having to step into the bathtub for a shower.
