Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda

1️⃣ This hotel boasts an impressive design. The elevators are remarkably quiet, so much so that I didn't even notice the brand. The front desk is on the 11th floor; the hotel occupies all floors from the 10th (conference room floor) upwards. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and multilingual. Room service was also very professional. 2️⃣ There's a good restaurant on the ground floor, opening at 11 AM, which only accepts card payments, no cash. Bean There Umeda is also on the ground floor, connected via a small exit, which is very convenient. There's a convenience store on the second floor! 3️⃣ The hotel's location is north of JR Osaka, adjacent to Umeda Sky Building. On the same block, there are two high-rise residential buildings, with the rest being green spaces and a construction site (apparently for roadworks). 4️⃣ The nearest airport bus stop is 'Hankyu Sanbangai'. It takes exactly 60 minutes to reach KIX Terminal 1 and 71 minutes to Terminal 2. 5️⃣ To get to the Midosuji Line and Hankyu Umeda Station, you can walk through the Links shopping mall. For JR, you can use the second-floor connecting passage between the north and south buildings of Grand Front Osaka. To reach both malls, you'll need to cross a street at ground level. 6️⃣ What is considered the 'south' and 'north' sides of JR Osaka Station are like two different worlds. The north side is still under development and has a more modern feel. The south side is where many established hotels are concentrated. This hotel is located in the north area of JR Osaka Station. 7️⃣ In summary: Although it's not directly connected to a subway station, walking to JR Osaka and the core city subway areas isn't too far. Overall, highly recommended.

Honestly, the hotel staff were all very friendly, and the views and location were unbeatable. However, as a hotel, there's a major flaw: intermittent noise. I didn't get a good night's sleep for all three nights. The video was recorded around 7 AM. The front desk was aware of the issue and moved us to another room, but the noise persisted. I was woken up again by it around 6 AM the next day. Unless you're someone who can sleep until 10 AM, I'd advise against staying here.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The front desk staff was also incredibly nice. Even though I don't speak Japanese, she used a translator to communicate with me. I'm very, very satisfied! 😄 I'll definitely stay longer next time.

The hotel's location is good; you can walk here from Osaka Station via the skywalk from the Grand Front building. Of course, if you don't mind the sun or rain, it's a bit closer to walk to Osaka Station on the street. The hotel lobby is on the 15th floor and has a tropical, colorful decor. The room decor is quite ordinary, but fortunately, the suite size is decent, though the design is a bit problematic with too much wasted space. The bedside design used to be my favorite, but after experiencing some inconvenience, I no longer like it. The protruding part often causes me to bump my legs, and getting in and out of bed isn't very convenient. Overall, it's uncomfortable.

The location is superb. The service is also excellent and friendly. The view is amazing. They speak English, Japanese, and Chinese, and if there are any communication issues, they kindly use a translator to assist you!!! ^^

The hotel's location is super convenient, right in the Umeda area. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. I'll definitely be staying here again and recommending it to all my good friends.

We booked two connecting rooms and stayed for four days and three nights. One room was cleaned, but the other, despite pressing the 'clean my room' button, was never serviced over the three nights. We'd leave in the afternoon and return around 11 PM to find no fresh water and the trash still there. On the first night, we had to call room service for water, slippers, and towels, and asked them to clean the room the next day. But upon returning the second day, it still hadn't been cleaned. When we called the manager, we were told there was no housekeeping available at night and they'd provide a solution the next day. However, by checkout, nothing had been resolved. They just took my email address, promising to send an update, but it felt like a brush-off. This is a first for me, absolutely speechless.

The glass in the room would make popping noises now and then. The first night, it was especially loud, starting at 6 AM and occurring every minute, making it impossible to sleep. The next day, I asked to change rooms, and they gave me a note implying that even if I changed rooms, there would still be noise, but it might be better. I saw negative reviews about this issue before booking but didn't pay much attention, which resulted in 5 nights of poor sleep. If you're a light sleeper, avoid this place!

The location is fantastic. The first day, coming from Kobe via the Hankyu line, we had to figure out the way, but after that, we knew exactly where we were going and never got lost navigating the Umeda center. After staying four nights at the Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel, we moved here for three nights, and it really highlighted how much better this hotel is, especially regarding cleanliness. The staff replenished amenities daily, and the room was spotless. They even neatly arranged my child's dolphin plushie, which made my kid incredibly happy. The Lawson convenience store on the second floor (accessible from the first floor) is well-stocked, and my child would go shopping there every day before we returned to the hotel. There's a cafe and restaurant on the hotel's first floor, and many dining options on the second floor where Lawson is, so eating out was super convenient. This is my second time staying in Umeda, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time – it's new and convenient. A heads-up for future travelers: the Montbell store on the 6th floor of Lucua doesn't offer tax-free shopping. Also, if you're buying a Yonex 700Pro badminton racket at the Umeda store and need stringing, you'll have to pick it up the next day, so I recommend buying it on your first day. If you exit the hotel from the first floor of the Grand South Building and turn left, you'll find a large Daikoku Drug store with many Chinese staff, making shopping very easy.
