The William Vale

A very lively hotel - seemed like there were events happening everyday. Breakfast was acceptable, coffee was good. Had an amazing panoramic view of the Manhattan. Staffs were friendly and nice overall. The two things I didn't like were only one functioning lift for the entire building (took very long to go up and down) and seemed the other functioning lift was dedicated to Westlight. Secondly, the smell of "it" in the hall way and seaping into my room... not everyone likes that smell... but still a great stay overall, recommend to stay (maybe wait until the lift is fixed.)

Particularly impressed by the gratuitous friendliness of the staff. Even when not helping us they asked after our welfare and potential needs.

Very nice view. Price is competitive. A bit small but ok for 1 person. Would come again.

This is the worst hotel I have ever lived, because they are thieves. After I checked out on March 20th with everything paid, they charged me another 203.63USD to my credit card saying I had a dinner at their restaurant on March 21st. I remember that night I was laying in my bed at Las Vegas hotel, receiving a charging SMS from a NYC hotel. Clearly this is wrong. I asked my bill for my stay, found out they did charge to my credit after I have checked out. The thing is I am not only leaving the hotel and I was leaving NYC, there is no way I showed up the second day at their hotel. Then I showed the proof to them, they later told my travel agent they did charge the wrong person, but later they say they need to more check on the facts. Till today, I haven’t got my money back. I have sent two more emails to them, but on one respond. I have lost my money because of their stupidity for 20 days. I had my patience and tolerance for them, but they ruined it completely. For me, they are equal to thieves. They don’t take this problem. My example is a truly warning for everyone. Stay away from this hotel. 携程在解决这件事上就很废，就是一个简单传话筒，他们合作的国外代理也十分不牢靠。

The location is very convenient and the balcony view is just fabulous

My girlfriend and I stayed in a large king suite complete with balcony and stunning view of NYC over the East River. We had an excellent room service breakfast the following morning. Would def recommend and return again one day!

My son and I had the most incredible experience! I would recommend the William Vale to all my friends and family. The balcony views at sunset in the summer are absolutely stunning. The hotel itself offers many thoughtful amenities including a welcome message with your name on the television upon arrival. I honestly only have one small complaint and that was the cleaning service. We called about having the room cleaned and actually spoke with the individual who said she would come back at the time we requested but she never returned. Other than that one little hiccup everything went smoothly from the time we pulled up to valet to unload our luggage. There is NO better hotel to stay in Williamsburg aside from the William Vale.
