Holiday Inn JOHOR BAHRU CITY CENTRE by IHG

The hotel is right next to the CIQ checkpoint. There are shopping malls with food options in front, behind, and to the left. The lobby is on the 8th floor, and the area downstairs is very noisy, with cars often bumper-to-bumper and unable to stop at the entrance. The service attitude was okay. I requested blankets and pillows for the sofa, and they provided two blankets but no sheets. Unfortunately, one blanket was incredibly stinky, so I had to put it in a basket and leave it outside the room. The room facilities were generally simple and quite old. Breakfast had many choices but mainly featured Malay and Indian cuisine. My original intention for staying here was to visit the night market, but I heard it was a 'bazaar' style, so I didn't go. The convenience store downstairs has blind boxes, and the prices for food and drinks are very expensive. Honestly, there's no good reason to pay 1300+ for a night's stay in Johor Bahru.

Great location, clean and hygienic. Plus, there are plenty of local eateries nearby, and you can get there in about a 10-minute taxi ride.

The location is super convenient, right near the border between Johor Bahru and Singapore. The room was decent, though it can get pricey during peak season, and king-size rooms are often hard to come by. The service was excellent and very friendly.

Very clean and convenient. Easy to travel to, next to a mall. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices.

Overall, it was a good experience, but the facilities weren't comprehensive enough. The jacuzzi by the pool only had cold water, and the hot water in the room wasn't working. The hotel entrance only had a small reception desk. However, it's located right in the city center, above a shopping mall, making it convenient to get everywhere.
