Hotel Hokke Club Sapporo

I booked this hotel half a month before my trip, and it was in the summer, which should be the off-season for Hokkaido, right? Honestly, the room rate was quite expensive at that time, but after staying, I felt it was worth the money. The location isn't the absolute closest to Sapporo Station, but it's definitely not far. You can walk straight from the left side of the South Plaza, and it takes less than ten minutes. I communicated entirely in English during check-in. I just went to the front desk and said 'check-in,' and their responses were in simple English, so there was no need to worry about not understanding. The door lock is a mechanical lock combined with a key card for electricity, and it actually felt fine, not particularly old. The room was small but well-equipped; besides the basics, there was even a refrigerator! This was great for keeping drinks or alcohol chilled (though not ice cream). The complimentary tea bags were surprisingly delicious and introduced me to the Ito En brand; I ended up buying some of their specialty products later in my trip. The bathroom has a bathtub, and you can also hang the showerhead high for showering. For me, at 160cm, the height was fine, but someone over 180cm might find it uncomfortable. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, including Western choices like vegetable salads and bread, and Japanese options like local specialty fried foods, steamed dishes, and stews. There were also many unique desserts. During August, there were only about 40-50 guests dining daily. To eat, you need to wait at the restaurant entrance, where staff will verify your room key tag, and then you can enter from the right to pick up a large plate for the self-service buffet. Personally, I found the overall taste a bit rich, making it more suitable as brunch after 9 AM (breakfast hours are 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM; entry stops after 9:30 AM, but you can still eat until 10 AM). Another special service is the public bath, which is separated for men and women. The women's bath also has a special electronic lock. Female guests receive a paper with the password during check-in at the front desk. The room also provides sleepwear, bags, and slippers for use at the bath. On the same floor, there's a laundry room with two coin-operated washing machines and dryers. Remember to prepare some 100-yen coins before using them. It was only when I was packing that I saw a note in the desk drawer mentioning a shuttle service was also available!? Anyway, overall, there were no major drawbacks. Although the price was a bit high, it's definitely a reliable hotel choice. Its location, halfway between Sapporo Station and Odori Park, makes it convenient for getting anywhere. I highly recommend staying here during your visit to Sapporo.

Very close to the bus/JR station, the staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was excellent (I tried the cold soba noodles). They have a public bath, which I personally love, as it's a great place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. You can easily walk to Sapporo attractions like the TV Tower and Clock Tower from here. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Sapporo.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated between JR Sapporo Station and Odori Subway Station. It was very easy to find using Google Maps from JR Station on the ground level. I imagine it might be less convenient with luggage during winter due to the snow. The triple room was a spacious 40 square meters, offering great value for money. It's conveniently located for accessing various attractions and shopping. Breakfast was also good.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The room size was perfectly adequate. They don't hang towels on the door during room cleaning; instead, they provide fresh towels daily, along with a complimentary bottle of water. The hygiene was excellent – no need to worry about insects, ensuring a good rest. The style is quite vintage. The soundproofing is a bit weak, but it didn't disturb my sleep, and I didn't even need the earplugs I brought. Just a short walk downstairs and you'll find three convenience stores. There's also an elevator nearby that goes straight to the underground shopping street, so no need to haul your luggage up and down.

The hotel is conveniently located near Sapporo Station, making it easy to get around. The rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is plentiful. The front desk staff are very attentive and helpful, able to answer questions in either English or Japanese. All in all, I'm very satisfied! 👍

The room size was decent, but the view wasn't great, just an inner courtyard. The overall service was pretty good. It's not too far from JR Sapporo Station or Odori Park.
