The outdoor hot springs are huge. I woke up late this time and missed the hot springs on the second floor. The male and female baths switch daily, and there are free popsicles. This time, I booked a room with breakfast and dinner. Dinner was a buffet, including a beef hot pot. It's very convenient as a stopover for Kamikochi, only half an hour away.

Very good, with a touch of ancient charm. The staff inside were also very friendly, making for a great experience. I'm not sure if it's because of the hot spring or something else, but there was a woody scent in the room.

This hotel is very close to Hirayu Station, which is convenient. I enjoyed being able to use two different onsen facilities during my stay. The complimentary butter cookies were delicious; I even bought a box to take with me when I checked out.

We chose Hirayu Onsen as a stopover, since we were visiting Shinhotaka one day and Kamikochi the next. Hirayukan is conveniently located just a three to five-minute walk from the Hirayu bus terminal. The room wasn't huge, but the hot spring baths were truly wonderful, with both indoor and outdoor options. The dinner and breakfast included in the stay were quite substantial. We also happened to catch a performance in the evening, which was a nice bonus.

The hotel is located at the Hirayu Onsen bus terminal, not far from Kamikochi, with direct bus access. There are a few restaurants nearby, but honestly, not many are open, and most only accept cash. So, if you're staying here for an extended period, make sure to bring plenty of cash. **Facilities:** The facilities are quite comprehensive, and the rooms are spacious. However, the slippers provided aren't very comfortable. I tried both hot springs; one is said to be 400 years old, and it was my first time experiencing a Japanese onsen, which was fantastic. **Environment:** The hotel has its own courtyard, and the overall design style is very nice. **Service:** The service was excellent. The front desk staff spoke English and were very gentle and helpful.

Had a very comfortable trip. It wasn't crowded this season. The buffet taste was pretty average, and I didn't get the free beer I saw advertised online. Overall, considering the great price, it was still a decent stay.

I stayed here in early February, and the weather was perfect. The stunning snow views from the window were fantastic for photos. The village roads outside the hotel have hot spring water flowing along them, giving off a strong sulfur smell. The hotel's breakfast and dinner buffets offer a decent variety of dishes, and I left feeling very satisfied. I'd recommend not arriving too late to avoid missing the peak dining hours, as there aren't many other restaurants nearby. Regarding transportation: We bought a two-day pass from Takayama Station. We initially planned to go to Honoki Daira Ski Resort at H32 (which we did visit the next day and highly recommend!). Since it was our first time, we had to actively request stops, and we accidentally overshot our stop, so we ended up checking into the hotel first. The hotel is located near stop H37. We got off at Hirayu Ski Resort (H36) to ski and then walked about 1 kilometer to the hotel, which was quite convenient. The hotel offers easy access to Shinhotaka and Takayama JR Station, making our trip very smooth. The room was spacious, a typical Japanese-style room, and even had an entertainment area. KTV was chargeable, but the ping-pong room was free! The male and female hot spring baths had a shared relaxation area where you could enjoy ice cream. Our stay was comfortable and atmospheric; overall, it was a great experience. The price dropped several times, so I re-booked frequently – which was incredibly convenient!
