Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka

This hotel is under the Nishitetsu group. I took their local trains and buses, while the trains were the old rail type, travel were very smooth from Nishitetsu Fukuoka tenjin to both nishitetsu yanagawa and from there to nishitetsu kurume and back to nishitetsu Fukuoka tenjin. This i thought if these old trains were so well maintained, their hotels should not be too bad. Read that Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka is well located and had been thru some renovation. However i was so wrong and very regretful of these 2 nights of stay. The staff takes no pride of their company, when i asked if there were skin care (face wash) available the reply was a rude "we are a business hotel"! Come on, even if you don't have it, just say you don't have it, i would have accepted... don't understand why the "business hotel " reference, not as if the per night charge is cheap here? Also many business hotels in Japan provides skin care as well! The towel rail in the toilet fell off and the shower head is so dirty. Toilet wall has moulds! When i asked for the shower head to be changed and the towel rail fixed, the staff didn't even apologize for these issues and gave a curt " some one will go up"????!!! It's even worst than a small town basic hotel! I stayed in Japan for over 80 days this trip, been to over 50 hotels, this is the worst! Dirty and unwelcoming + rude! If there's any positives, it's the location and the tv has YouTube app! There are many hotels within 5 mins from this hotel that has good connectivity and room prices are very comparable!

The hotel is approximately a 5-minute walk from Exit 16 of Tenjin Station, making it easy to access public transportation and explore the city. There is also a FamilyMart convenience store nearby, which is very convenient for picking up snacks, drinks, and other daily necessities. It is conveniently located beside the Naka River and within a short walking distance of the Fukuoka Red Brick Culture Museum (福岡市赤煉瓦文化館). The room was clean and comfortable, although the property is showing its age and does not feel particularly new. Amenities are not provided in the room and must be collected from the lobby. Complimentary green tea is available, but coffee is not provided. Overall, this hotel offers good value and a convenient location for exploring Fukuoka, especially the Tenjin area. It may not be the newest hotel, but it is clean, well-maintained, and well-positioned for sightseeing and getting around the city.

I thought this hotel was going to be one of the newer ones, but apparently the rooms are kind of worn out and not very clean. The location is excellent though — quite near all the Tenjin attractions. Yatais are near this hotel too. The breakfast on the top floor was really good!
