Rajadamnern is one of the well-known local competition venues in Bangkok. Whenever the competition, it will gather Muay Thai players from all over Thailand. It was built before the Second World War and was only completed in 1941. When it was first built, it was an open-air plaza without a house. Later, it was slowly remodeled and kept up with the times. Now the Rajadamnern Muay Thai Plaza has become a symbol of great significance. venue. There are regular games every week here. At this time, the entire venue is full of people and seats are full. Many fanatic fans prefer to stand and watch the game, so that they can fully experience the lively atmosphere of the scene. If tourists from other places do not understand the charm of Muay Thai, they may not understand their madness. This is a very violent and bloody match. There is no fake and no show. Many passionate young people come from afar to watch a real Muay Thai match. "Bangkok · 4.1 km from downtown

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World

7.9
4.5/5
8.2k reviews
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World brings a large aquarium into the two basement floors of Siam Paragon mall in downtown Bangkok, making it a highly popular family-friendly indoor attraction. Over a dozen themed exhibition areas guide visitors from tropical rainforests to the deep sea, with hundreds of marine species inhabiting the space, including large sharks measuring nearly 4 m in length. The underwater tunnel is the highlight of the aquarium, offering a 270-degree curved view where sharks, rays and schools of fish glide slowly overhead and alongside visitors. The shark walkway is a glass floor suspended above the shark tank, allowing guests to look down and see sharks swimming beneath their feet. The penguin snow park is home to a group of gentoo penguins, and through the underwater viewing window, visitors can watch them "fly" through the water, while African penguins can also be spotted in another rocky coastal area. The Asian small-clawed otters in the tropical rainforest zone are lively and playful, often drawing crowds. The jellyfish exhibit becomes particularly dreamy under changing lights, while the seahorse kingdom and green sea turtle zone invite a slower pace for closer observation. The coral reef area features schools of clownfish darting about, and the rock pool, where visitors can touch intertidal creatures like starfish, is especially popular with children. The aquarium offers scheduled feeding guides for penguins, otters, sharks and rays daily. We recommend checking the day's time slots upon arrival to plan your visit accordingly. The coral reef zone offers an optional glass-bottom boat experience - watch keepers hand-feed fish and sharks glide beneath the boat for a unique perspective. Fully air-conditioned indoors, it's ideal in any weather. A two-hour visit allows comfortable exploration, though families with children may want to allocate more time. △ Here you can observe tropical rainforest creatures such as Asian small-clawed otters, hook ants, and green crested lizards. △ Come and see our adorable Papuan penguinsBangkok · 2.3 km from downtown

Chao Phraya River

7.9
4.5/5
5.4k reviews
The Chao Phraya River is the customary name used by the Chinese community for the river known in Thai as "Chao Phraya." The term "Chao Phraya" originates from Thai, literally meaning "mother of waters," while its Thai name is often translated as "river of kings," both reflecting the river's significance in Thailand. It originates in the northern mountains of Thailand, flows south through the central plains, passes the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, and runs through the heart of Bangkok before emptying into the Gulf of Thailand. Including its upstream tributaries, it stretches over 1,000 km. Bangkok grew alongside this river, once crisscrossed by waterways and dubbed the "Venice of the East." Even today, the Chao Phraya River remains a vital waterway for local transportation and daily life. Taking a cruise is a classic way to explore the river. By day, the water bustles with public ferries, cargo boats, and crossings, resembling a watery highway for Bangkok residents, while traditional floating markets have mostly relocated to tributaries. Along the river, historic landmarks like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun glide past, juxtaposed with modern malls like ICONSIAM across the water. A short ferry ride from Tha Tian Pier leads to Wat Arun on the opposite bank. At night, the river transforms as lights illuminate both shores, with Wat Arun's porcelain-clad spires shimmering softly. Sightseeing and dinner cruises set sail, offering a distinctly different atmosphere from the land-based experience. If timing allows, an evening cruise lets you witness both the sunset and the city lights, capturing two faces of the river in one trip. △Sparkling Chao Phraya River △Enchanting night view at Chao Phraya RiverBangkok · 4.8 km from downtown

A beautiful place. The main thing is to come at opening time; in that case you'll have an hour to see everything without the crowds. They don't let you in wearing shorts, so it's better to buy pants in advance. The pants right at the entrance cost twice as much as at the nearest intersection.

A show with almost no flaws; aside from the boxing matches, the games and music created a lively atmosphere. The video even had Chinese subtitles, making it worth the ticket price. The venue wasn't large, but the decor and lighting were dazzling, and the projection screen on the ceiling created a fantastic 3D atmosphere. I estimated over 60% of the tickets were from clubs. I booked a last-minute ticket for Monday night's Kick-Out, but the level of competition wasn't very high; only 2 out of 7 matches were knockouts, so it wasn't very intense. I've seen Road FC, a Korean MMA event, and the final was bloody. Saturday's RWS main event should be much more exciting. Entry and ticket verification were simple. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Staff were constantly moving around, and you could order burgers, pizzas, and drinks anytime—cash only. There's really no need to leave early. After the show, walk 200 meters to the right, then turn right again for 100 meters, and there's a 7-Eleven. After buying your late-night snack, a Grab ride will take you there in 4 minutes.

We took the Ancient Siam tour at 50% off, which is a great deal, and I recommend it. The palaces are beautiful. We covered them on foot, using the tram, and finished in 4 hours. The sights outside the tram route aren't very interesting, so you won't miss much by skipping them. One downside: you can't rent a golf cart without a driver's license. Bring yours if you want to ride one.

We had a wonderful experience with this vendor. It was a great way to enjoy the city from a different perspective while cruising along the river and taking in the beautiful riverside scenery.Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side that evening and we experienced heavy rain. We had to move indoors, so we could not fully enjoy the outdoor views as planned. However, the indoor atmosphere was still fantastic. The vibe was lively, relaxing and enjoyable, with a great overall ambience throughout the cruise. The buffet also added to the experience, making it more than just a sightseeing trip. Even though the weather changed our original plan, we still had a very enjoyable evening and loved the overall atmosphere on board.Overall, it was a memorable experience and something I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable way to experience Bangkok from the river.

Bangkok Skyflyers at Asiatique is a fun attraction for anyone who wants to see Bangkok from above without taking a traditional observation deck. The ride offers beautiful panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River, the city skyline, and Asiatique, especially around sunset and after dark when everything is illuminated. The nearby Better World Better Future 4D Immersive Exhibition adds an interactive experience with impressive visual effects, making it a great place for families, couples, and photographers. I recommend arriving before sunset so you can enjoy both daylight and the city's night lights in one visit.
