To stay in Perth, you need to take a one-way ferry, but most places only sell round-trip tickets, so I couldn't find one until I finally managed to get one. Make sure to book a one-way ferry ticket when staying overnight.

I purchased round-trip ferry tickets. I considered buying them at the counter on-site, but I decided to purchase them in advance because I was worried that I might not be able to buy a ticket if there were a lot of passengers, or that I might have to wait in line. After purchasing, I received a voucher with a QR code via email, and on the day of departure, I didn't have to go to the counter at all; I just had to join the boarding line. It was very easy to use; all I had to do was have a crew member scan the QR code when boarding.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The ferry ride to Rottnest Island was amazing — smooth, fast, and stress-free from start to finish. Boarding was easy, the journey was comfortable, and the crew was friendly and efficient. It made getting to the island part of the experience itself. Such a happy and enjoyable start to our Rottnest adventure. Highly recommended!

Commentary was hard to hear due to poor speaker quality on upper deck. Staff ignored water, from rain via open windows before boarding. Could not be bothered wiping tables down even when delivering drinks to affected tables. One person was blatantly vaping and staff ‘pretended’ not to notice.
