An easy connection and transfer across from Lipe to Hat Yai. Person was waiting with name on arrival at the pier and the trip took just under 2 hours to the city.

The terminal services are decent, but the ship itself is tired. It's probably worse, but even in significantly poorer countries like Sumatra and Cebu, you wouldn't encounter anything like this.

If you need to quickly get from one location to another, they pick you up from places the ferry can't reach. The downside was that we had to transfer from one boat to another (even though it was stated there were no transfers). The ride was rough up front, and the motors were very noisy in the back.

The journey back to Pak Bara from Koh Lipe was much simpler and more convenient than the trip to the island. You simply went to the boat company's counter to exchange for your boarding pass; they're right at the pier, very easy to spot. The speedboat ride itself was quite comfortable, relatively smooth with no major bumps. Koh Lipe is beautiful; I'll definitely come back again!
