Zhangbi Ancient Castle, a national key cultural relics protection unit in Jiexiu City, Shanxi Province, is famous for its military defense system and astronomical culture. Below is a travel guide. Must-See Highlights: Underground Tunnels: A three-layered structure (upper level for sentry duty, middle level for troop deployment, lower level for food storage). 1500 meters of the tunnels are currently open to the public, containing ancient military facilities such as horse kilns, command kilns, and communication tubes. Wearing non-slip shoes is recommended. Glazed Glass Art: The peacock blue glazed glass stele (Ming Dynasty tricolor glazed glass decoration) at the Kongwang Buddha Temple is one of only two remaining in the country. The Erlang Temple Glazed Glass Exhibition Hall displays glazed glass statues of the twelve zodiac animals and the twenty-eight constellations. Locust Tree Embracing Willow: A thousand-year-old locust tree with a hollowed-out willow branch symbolizes vitality and is a landmark of the castle. Astrological Layout: The castle is designed according to the twenty-eight constellations. The north gate corresponds to "Bi" (壁) constellation, and the south gate corresponds to "Zhang" (张) constellation. Climbing the city wall offers a panoramic view of the "Star Village".

The museum is located in a park. The parking lot is near the park, but there are many cars and few spaces. We parked quite far away. The museum's entrance, plaza, and staircase are all rather extravagant, requiring a long walk. After going up to the second floor and entering the main gate, exhibition halls 1 and 2 are on the first floor, so you have to go back downstairs. The exhibits are worth seeing, but the layout is inconvenient and should be improved.

The Sima Qian Shrine is truly an awe-inspiring cultural sanctuary! Ascending the 99 steps, one feels as if they've led one through millennia of history, each step treading upon a rich cultural heritage. The towering memorial archways, inscribed with the inscriptions "High Mountains to Admire" and "River and Mountain Sun," silently testify to the boundless reverence of future generations for the historian. From the summit, gaze eastward at the mighty Yellow River, like a golden dragon, and westward at the vast, rolling Liangshan Mountains. The magnificent landscape unfolds before one's eyes, echoing the majestic visions of Sima Qian's writings. Within the shrine, towering ancient cypresses and numerous stone tablets stand, inscribed with inscriptions by generations of literati and poets praising the enduring achievements of the Grand Historian. Behind the shrine, ancient cypresses shaped like dragons at Sima Qian's tomb symbolize his unyielding spirit, growing even more vigorous after millennia of trials and tribulations. Not only are there majestic ancient buildings and beautiful natural scenery, but there are also vivid historical scrolls like the Twelve Chronicles Landscape Garden, as well as novel interactive projects such as XR immersive experience and bamboo slip transcription, which make history truly "alive". Whether it is to pursue cultural context or to meditate quietly, the Sima Qian Temple can bring you a deep cultural journey that cleanses the soul, worthy of being called a "holy land of literature and history".

Aside from the rainy day, everything else was great. The only thing was that we came across the Jinci Temple, a place covered in a high school or middle school textbook, and we thought it was worth visiting. The temple itself is very rich in content, and there are other attractions nearby, but because it was raining, we could only visit a few of those places.

Taiyuan Botanical Garden is a landmark building in Taiyuan. I went there and it was really beautiful! We went during the Dragon Boat Festival, and it was especially beautiful. All kinds of animals and plants were incredibly gorgeous. There's also the famous giant elevator, which is very attractive and great for taking photos. It was absolutely fantastic!

Because it had just snowed, there were very few people, making the viewing experience absolutely fantastic! 👍🏻 The looping light and shadow effects created an incredibly immersive and realistic experience! The opening animation of the game right at the entrance was truly breathtaking! The digital Pigsy guides you through the ancient architecture, and the Chaoyuan Map is interactive, instantly bringing famous murals to life and introducing you to many Taoist deities – a real educational experience! I also got to try out the Black Myth game on-site, which was a lot of fun – highly recommended!
