N+HOTEL Akihabara No.2

The room is relatively spacious, and with the window right next to the bathroom, it's very airy. The front desk staff are Chinese, making it ideal for first-time visitors to Japan who are not yet familiar with the language and environment.

The room was very clean and just right for staying with two kids. They could sleep on the tatami mat, and the space was quite spacious. It's about a 10-minute walk to Akihabara Station, which is very convenient. Taking a bus to Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree is also very close.

Downstairs, the hotel offers free drinks 🍹. Just a short walk away, there's a wide variety of food options, especially many BBQ and beer places. They get very crowded, so it's best to go early to avoid long queues. Across the footbridge, you'll find a shopping mall and a pharmacy, making shopping very convenient. It's also not far from the subway station.

I was super surprised by the room size! For this price, having such a spacious room in central Tokyo is amazing – it's like a two-bedroom layout. One room had two beds, and the other had two tatami beds. In between the two rooms, there was more than enough space to lay out two large suitcases flat. The bathroom was also a three-piece separation, with great water pressure for showering and even a bathtub. My only minor gripe is that the blackout blind in the bathroom wasn't completely effective, so if you're sensitive to light, you might want to bring an eye mask. The hotel's location is also pretty good. While it's about a 13-minute walk to Akihabara JR station, it's only an 8-minute walk to the Akihabara subway station! Akihabara is super convenient for getting anywhere in Tokyo, and there are lots of great little restaurants around the subway station. Plus, you can explore electronics stores and Don Quijote in the evenings. The service was excellent too. The 24-hour front desk had staff who could speak Chinese, and there's a free self-service coffee and beverage bar nearby. The room was cleaned every two days, and it was very quiet.

It was alright. We booked a quad room with two futons and two beds, and it was a nice experience trying out the Japanese futon style. There's no breakfast, but a 7-Eleven nearby solves that problem. The Haruhi restaurant opposite the hotel was pretty good, and it's just a few minutes' walk from Akihabara. Overall, it was decent!

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and the room was quite new. The layout was much better than those older hotels with their illogical designs. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. The drink bar downstairs was excellent; it was great to have a refreshing drink after a day of sightseeing, and a coffee before heading out was also a nice touch. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the main station, but there are several other stations nearby, so you can choose different lines depending on your destination, which is actually quite convenient. It's definitely worth considering for my next trip to Tokyo.
