La'Gent Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho

The hotel is fine but a word of warning that it is in the heart of Shinjuku, and when I say heart I mean it's in the backstreets amongst the love hotels. We weren't actually aware of this before we booked it but the immediate area it's in is rife with ************ and promoters, it's probably the only place in Tokyo I didn't feel safe at night. The hotel itself is okay for Tokyo standards, rooms are small, amenities are fine and it was an okay standard for a few nights, I'd definitely just take into consideration whether you want to be so central before booking.

Excellent value for a comfortable stay in Shinjuku! We stayed at La’gent Hotel Shinjuku for six nights and had a very pleasant experience. The location was convenient, about a 10–14-minute walk to Shinjuku Station and just 5 minutes from the famous Godzilla Head. Our room was very clean but quite compact for two beds and a sofa bed. However, the space under the beds was useful for storing suitcases, and having a separate toilet and bathroom was a big plus. The modern Japanese toilet, with its automatic functions, heated seat and built-in washing system, was particularly impressive, providing excellent hygiene and comfort. We gradually got used to the room size and found it comfortable enough for our stay. It was also surprisingly quiet at night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the reception team spoke English well. Breakfast included both Asian and Western options. Although the variety was limited, we enjoyed it and found it sufficient. Overall, excellent value for a 3-star hotel. Clean, convenient, quiet and well managed. We would happily stay here again!

room was slightly smaller than other places of a similar room size ~ location was great tho! super accessible to touristy areas by foot & a train station! only downside was that the toilet had mould stains which was a little unpleasant service was really good, complimentary drinks were given with water refills

The hotel is 15 min walk away from Shjinjuku nearest subway so not convenient with large luggages. Paid USD200 per night, no bottled water in the room and the room is small, have to store luggages under the beds. It’s in pop art style not everyone’s cup of tea. Check out time is 11am and have to pay extra for extension even for just an hour!

Excellent customer services! Our left luggages were brought to our rooms before we checked in, which was a surprise for us. Thank you. The room is more spacious that we thought for a Shinjuku location. Convenient location to food and shopping. Walking distance to Shinjuku or Seibu-Shinjuku stations. The daily vinegar drinks at the reception was a delight for my family. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Tokyo in the near future.

A bit far away from train station and is located right next to the red light district. Surrounding doesn’t feel safe.
