MGM Grand Sanya

I was a bit unsure based on the mixed reviews I saw online, but I decided to try it out, and I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The environment is quite good, and I wish I could have stayed longer. The performances were excellent, and I'll definitely come back. The milk tea was decent, typical Hong Kong-style milk tea – not too strong, so I didn't have trouble sleeping. The kids' breakfast had a good variety, which I loved, especially after eating too many 'Western' dishes at other hotels in the past few days. I have a kid's palate and ate a lot of bread because it was so delicious. Next time, I'll try the Hainan-style restaurant. Previously, hotels like this usually offered luggage delivery services, but for some reason, many have canceled them. I was happy to find this hotel still provides it. The service was excellent, and there were even rabbits to play with! Facilities: Good, very retro. Cleanliness: Clean. Environment: Quite spacious. Service: The housekeeping, security, and butler staff were great. The front desk even helped me with my bags. Double Aerial Seaview Zipline: Thrilling!

Overall, the service was excellent. It was also quite atmospheric to take the kids out at night. Being close to the sea, the view was great, the rooms were clean, and the staff provided good service. I'll definitely come back to MGM next time. Handsome! Mini-Bar on day one: Good service. Dual Ocean View Zipline: The two kids enjoyed it, it was good.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Yalong Bay's resort area. The private beach, a huge plus for our trip, is right next to the property, just a short walk away. It's gentle and safe, ideal for kids to play in the water, and offers more privacy than the public beaches. The surrounding amenities are excellent, making it super convenient for getting around by taxi and dining at nearby supermarkets and restaurants.

The rooms were spotless, and the hotel staff were all incredibly attractive and provided warm, thoughtful service. The hotel offers a fantastic array of entertainment, with zip-lining, a pool, and a beach – everything you need! It was a truly relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. This time I brought my kids, and I especially want to thank the hotel butler for contacting me in advance to help arrange everything perfectly. MGM is truly fantastic!

This was my first time staying at the MGM Grand Sanya in Yalong Bay, and the experience was fantastic! The staff were incredibly enthusiastic, and our butler was excellent. The sea view from our room was beautiful, and the public areas are spacious and lovely. There are entertainment options for both adults and children, and even an evening activity so you won't get bored. Compared to other bays, Yalong Bay has a very long and open coastline. The breakfast's sour vinegar soup and Hou'an noodles were absolutely delicious! After staying at other hotels later, I can confidently say I'd choose the MGM Grand again next time.

This was my second stay here. I added the butler, Miya, on WeChat in the lobby. Not only did she give us two MGM lion mascots, but she also patiently and professionally advised us on what to take when going out each day and what to be aware of when visiting the beach. She truly deserves a five-star rating! As for the hotel itself, it was developed by COFCO Group. In 1996, COFCO Group established Sanya Yalong Bay Development Company, which acquired the entire tourism development land in Yalong Bay. So, MGM is situated in the best location within Yalong Bay's auspicious 'feng shui' area. When you exit the hotel towards the beach, you'll see a separate hotel to the far right – that's also a COFCO property, The St. Regis. The service at MGM is excellent, and the kids had a blast playing with the hotel pets. We found a staghorn coral on MGM's beach and a cone snail near Tianyu's beach. The online rumor about finding conch shells on the small reef in front of The Ritz-Carlton is completely false. I actually found a huge piece of coral near the Hilton, right next to MGM. So, for shell hunting, your best bet is the area between Tianyu and Hilton, just be mindful of the waves!

Facilities: The overall facilities are pretty good. Although the hotel is a bit older than those in Haitang Bay, it's still decent. The room's design style is just a bit dated. Hygiene: The overall hygiene is good. However, if a room is pet-friendly, I hope they'll mention it during check-in next time. My child had an allergic reaction right after entering the room. Luckily, the butler reacted quickly and had the room re-cleaned, and everything was fine afterward. Environment: The public areas are quite nice, with plenty of things to do. Service: The service was good, but the complimentary small lion wasn't delivered to the room immediately.

Although the hotel's interior facilities are a bit old-fashioned, they are genuinely clean and tidy. The butler service was very thoughtful. The recreational facilities outside the hotel are also large, spacious, and very clean. The hotel's internal environment is beautiful, making you feel like you've arrived in a tropical rainforest. Due to our short stay, we didn't get to experience many activities, but I see this as an opportunity for my next visit. (The only minor downside was not getting to drink bubble tea on the last day 😭 because we had to catch our flight ✈️).

Overall, the experience was fantastic! The service was warm and attentive, and the staff were all very good-looking. The attention to detail was excellent, making for a really great experience. It's a shame the waves were too high these past couple of days, so I couldn't try the banana boat, but they offered a good compensation for it. It's great value for money and definitely worth recommending to friends. I'll be back again next time!
