Mangrove Jeju City

The ocean view room was amazing! With a wide, unobstructed view of the sea right outside the window, you can just open it up and take in the ocean, and even watch planes slowly coming in to land—it's a spectacular sight. The hotel has a self-service kitchen area where you can cook your own food, which is great if you like to bring back ingredients and whip up something simple while traveling. Breakfast includes complimentary cereal, milk, and coffee—such a thoughtful touch that really shows they care. The overall environment is clean and comfortable, the facilities are practical, and staying here made our trip so hassle-free. I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel again next time I visit Jeju!

The room was fairly clean, but definitely not worth the price. It's quite small—a twin room for three people cost over 800 a night, and it has nothing to do with being "luxury." At this price, you could easily book a better hotel. It was a major disappointment of this trip. Ladies, don't be misled by the name "Mangrove"; it's completely different from the Mangrove resorts back home. It's basically just a fairly clean guesthouse with small rooms. Especially with a busy schedule in Jeju Island where you're out from morning till night, it's really not worth booking. I honestly regret not shopping around and comparing options before picking this place. Also, all those pretty photos on Xiaohongshu are just of a nice window view at the 7th-floor check-in counter—they have nothing to do with the actual room you stay in.

The hotel has a fantastic location, with bhc Chicken and Olive Young right downstairs, and the Qixing Street pedestrian shopping area is just a block away, making shopping very convenient. It's also just a 100-200 meter walk to the ocean. The ocean-view rooms at the hotel are quite nice. There is a buffet breakfast in the morning, and you can also go to the restaurant to make instant noodles and get drinking water. However, housekeeping is DIY-style; rooms are only cleaned if you stay for more than 6 days. Otherwise, you have to take out the trash and change your own towels (available in the hallway on each floor). Overall, it was a great experience.

The hotel is in a great location with a BHC Chicken right downstairs. It's just across the street from Chilsung-ro Shopping Street, which is great for shopping, and Dongmun Market is only a short walk further. The highlight is that the room faces directly out to the sea—the view is absolutely stunning! It was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The view from the top floor window is fantastic. It doesn't include breakfast, but there's a kitchen available during the day. In the morning, you can grab some bread and coffee. The overall environment is great, and the ocean-view room also offers wonderful scenery.

Absolutely stunning views! The hotel is within walking distance to Chilseong-ro and Dongmun Market. Nearby, you'll find Oliveryong, E-mart, and everything else you could need. Most importantly, the breakfast cereal is incredibly delicious. The window views are amazing. Simply unbeatable!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. Check-in and check-out are entirely self-service. There's no room cleaning service unless you stay for more than 6 days, apparently. The double room advertised as having a 1.3-meter bed actually felt more like 1.5 meters, so there was plenty of space for two people. They offer a complimentary simple breakfast in the mornings with bread, milk, coffee, tea, and cereal. The dining area is large and very clean, and the kitchen facilities are fully equipped, which is convenient if you want to bring in takeout or make a late-night snack. It's very close to Chilseong-ro and Dongmun Market, about a 10-minute walk. It's a bit further from Baojian-ro and the duty-free shop, maybe around a 30,000 KRW taxi ride (I forget the exact amount). A taxi from the airport also costs around 30,000+ KRW. When using a ride-hailing app, the navigation might take you to the back of the hotel; just walk through a small parking lot and you'll see it, or you can directly set your destination to BHC Chicken in Yeon-dong.

First time trying a self-service apartment, and it was much better than I expected – I surprisingly loved it! It's perfect for introverted travelers. This time, I stayed in a sea-view suite with a friend, and the room size was also very satisfactory.
