Hilton Los Angeles Airport

1. I want to specifically talk about the bathroom. The shower knob turns left and right to adjust the water temperature, but to get water flowing, you have to pull the very bottom part outwards. It's a completely different design from other countries, so be careful not to break it. It felt a bit awkward. 2. Turn left out of the hotel, and past the traffic light, there's a fast-food restaurant, similar to KFC. 3. Continue walking left, and you'll find two gas stations with convenience stores inside, where you can buy daily necessities.

I checked in quite late as I had an early flight the next morning. To my horror, there was a giant cockroach in the bathtub! I called hotel guest services first, but no one showed up for a long time. Then I contacted Ctrip's online customer service, who were actually quite good and said they'd help me follow up. Later, I called the hotel's main line, and they also said they'd send someone. At this point, Ctrip customer service told me they couldn't reach the hotel either. Finally, a security guard came and squashed the cockroach, but didn't clean up or anything, which was really off-putting. In the end, I had to go downstairs to the front desk myself to sort it out, and thankfully they changed my room. Ctrip also compensated me with some points, so it ended fairly well, but I didn't get to sleep until almost 1 AM because of all the hassle. The hotel's main advantage is its low price, and Ctrip's service was good. That's about it~

Every time I land in Los Angeles, I choose this Hilton for an overnight stay to adjust to the time difference. It's very convenient to get here from the airport, with a shuttle bus available. The hotel's facilities are good, but this time the room I was given had a strange odor.

The room was quite spacious and clean, and came equipped with an ironing board and hairdryer. The TV screen was also large. The bed felt soft when pressed, but was actually quite comfortable to sleep on. The pillows were just right, and I woke up without any back pain or discomfort, which was a huge plus. There's a shuttle service to the airport every 20 minutes or so, and it runs 24 hours, which is really convenient. You can hear planes taking off and landing, but that's to be expected when you're near an airport. The noise was acceptable and didn't bother me at all.

The hotel is relatively clean and very close to the airport. The only significant downside was the parking fee, which was over $70. The website didn't make this clear. By the time I drove into the underground garage, I realized how expensive it was, and it was too late to back out. You can hear planes taking off and landing at night, so if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to consider other options.

The airport shuttle was a bit slow. A Hilton Los Angeles shuttle pulled up right when I was standing by the curb at the airport, but it didn't stop even when I waved – it just drove off empty! Not sure if they didn't see me or what. Then I waited another ten minutes or so, and when it finally came back, there were so many people that one car couldn't fit everyone. People almost started arguing! I mean, it wasn't me arguing with other foreigners. Anyway, everyone was pushing and shoving, and I couldn't get on with my luggage. It just goes to show, not all Americans are polite; I just watched the chaos unfold, though I couldn't get on myself either with my suitcase. After that, I stayed for one night, and it felt exactly the same as when I stayed 8 years ago. I was surprised how well the hotel has been maintained after all these years. While it's not new, you can barely tell it's 8 years old, which is pretty impressive 👍. The staff and front desk were all very nice, and its proximity to the airport is convenient. Overall, it's a good place, and I'd probably stay here again.

I chose to stay here for my business trip. It's a very busy hotel, and it happened to be the World Cup final. The hotel has an internal restaurant and a Starbucks, which makes up for the lack of shopping options around the airport. Hygiene: Very clean and well-equipped.
