The service attitude was excellent, with staff always smiling and opening doors when we left – a big thumbs up! 👍 The location is great, just 200 meters from the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum. It's probably on par with a higher-end budget hotel like Home Inn Premium in China; the room was clean and tidy. It's very close to the Clan Jetties, though you have to walk a bit further to the street art. (My only minor issue was the limited breakfast options, which didn't seem very suited to Chinese tastes.)

We paid additional MYR 50 for early check in but the room turned out to be disappointing as the dust can obviously be seen on the floor. Cups were not cleaned properly too. Location is the only plus point.

The hotel is very close to the attractions, with the main mural streets just a five-minute walk away. It's great to be able to return to the hotel for a rest during Penang's hot midday, then head out again in the afternoon. The hotel's decor and design are quite new, and it's cleaned daily, which is a nice touch.

I mentioned that I will return in my stay less than 2 weeks ago and I did..yes I love Penang so much..touch wood..but seriously its due to the Merdeka month and lots of events I can visit complimentarily, and enchanting Penang didn't disappoint, location of hotel is superb to cater to my cuisine fix....but I need to highlight to Victoria Garden Hotel .... ..what's with the hair dryer ( refer pic)- why provide a wall -mounted hair dryer when it's not readily wall-mounted. I literally had to carry the dangling hair dryer with the wall bracket, refer picture pls..it's most comfortable and dangerous..the socket will break due to the weight..I saw sparks at the plug point( and the plug point is 2 - pin one..luckily mgt hv adaptor)..Anyway..the staff told me all the rooms' hair dryers are the same! Seriously..I think if you value the guests' comfort and safety, management of Victoria Garden should seriously mount it on the wall somehow , somewhere in the room. Oh yes, the bathroom rain shower head was dripping from the top when I was using the hand- held shower..drip drip drip . Also..may I know why no feedback from the management on the guests review. Thank you very much Victoria Garden.. I'll be back ..maybe..

A standard 3-star hotel. The room was a bit small, but it offered decent value for money. George Town isn't big, so getting around from here was quite convenient. If you're traveling to Penang, this hotel is a good option; I had a pleasant experience.
