Songzhuju is one of the nicest homestay I've stayed in. 1. Butler Ah Fei and all staff are very welcoming and friendly. Ah Fei contacted me in advance to arrange pick up and itinerary. He's also the go-to guy for purchase of authentic tea and local produce. 2. Superior location The homestay is situated about 100m from north gate. Considered easy to find but I would still recommend the pick up service as the town is such a maze. It takes around 30mins by car from Lijiang Railway to the ancient town. Restaurants, cafes and shops are everywhere. 3. Spacious and cosy room Room was clean, full amenities like bathrobe, slippers, kettle, shampoo, conditioner etc all provided There are endless options of homestays to choose from but Songzhuju stands out for being so homely and such kind of personal service is really rare. After 3 days of stay, i cannot pinpoint a single negative aspect at all. Would return for sure and highly recommend to all travellers! . Bed and pillows quite comfortable. Breakfast provided from 8am. Laundry room available.

We were greeted by a nice tea ceremony experience which we enjoyed very much! They explained the history behind why chinese drinks their tea. And our last day I really enjoyed the breakfast that they prepared for us. It was very hearty breakfast. The only complain is that they gives us a room with leekage and on our last day the batroom floor leaked with water when we were showering. All my item got soaked. So for that I have to give them 2 under amenities. Otherwise it will be 5 stars all along. They should have given us a good room from the beginning.

The rooms were clean, very spacious and highly functional. The beds were comfy. The staff was very helpful, and managed to organize a trip to Yulong Mountain including the Lijiang Impressions show with just 1.5 days notice. The trip was excellent and comprehensive, all aspects were taken care of for a reasonable price. Staff can pick you up at the ancient town entrance and help with luggage.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An exceptional stay in every sense. I stayed for 3 nights, and it was one of the best accommodation experiences I have ever had. A special thanks to Mr. A Fei for his outstanding hospitality and kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect during my stay, always attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring. He also arranged an amazing trip experience, which became one of the highlights of my journey. The room was extremely quiet, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was highly comfortable and provided excellent rest after long days of exploring. The bathroom was spotless and maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Lijiang Ancient Town, within walking distance to traditional streets, local cafés, and cultural spots, making it very convenient to explore the area. Overall, this place combines comfort, cleanliness, and an excellent location with truly outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lijiang

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL. I am not exaggerating. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay here. The moment I arrived, Dalin immediately took my bags, sat me down, gave me tea (plus some bonus tea history) and fruits. Then they showed me my room (which was absolutely breathtaking) and the whole place is such a vibe. It was so good I actually extended my stay by one day. Dalin himself was very helpful and friendly, he showed us around, gave us good recommendations and advice, and just made the whole experience better. (He would make it easier for us to speak to locals and hang out with them). Location wise, its perfect (right next to the hustle and bustle. Insanely good, chill, and friendly service. I would genuinely come back here again to relax. My reccommendation is that you book at least 5 days here to get the absolute best/relaxed experience, but 3 nights/4days is enough to do major attractions.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and there,'s a tatami where you can seep your coffee or tea. Enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. Feels like home.
