Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu

I fell in love with this hotel over a decade ago when I took the airport limousine bus nearby. As fate would have it, this year was my first time actually staying here. Even though it was just for one night, I was extremely satisfied. A clean room is a given, but the elevators going up and down are super convenient. The airport limousine bus and the front desk are on the same floor, so you never have to worry about hauling heavy luggage. For me, the location is the absolute best in the Shibuya area—you can drop off your shopping and head right back out for more. You can catch a glimpse of the Shibuya Crossing from the room, and the entire view from the elevator lobby. I hope to stay here every time I visit Tokyo from now on.

This was my second stay here, and it's definitely my top choice in Shibuya. The location is incredibly convenient for getting around, it's quiet and clean, and shopping and dining options are abundant. Plus, express checkout and luggage storage are a breeze, and there's a direct bus to the airport from the 5th floor.

The hotel is right next to Shibuya's bustling scramble crossing (Hachiko statue). You can see the famous scramble from the rooms upstairs or the hallway windows. Downstairs, there's a subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient, and there are tons of shops and restaurants right outside, so shopping and dining are super easy. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and the service is decent. Definitely recommend it.
