The Bivou Lijiang

This is a really unique design hotel. The owner is a cheerful Singaporean lady. The breakfast is delicious, especially the Zajiang rice noodles – light, fresh, sweet, with a subtle numbing spice. The cleanliness and service are excellent; all the staff, from the younger women to the older ladies, were incredibly warm and friendly. There are also many special activities, both free and paid. Because it's an old Naxi house, the soundproofing might not be as good as modern hotels, but we didn't hear any noise during our stay as the other guests were very quiet. The only thing that could be improved is that the mattress in the king room could be a bit softer, haha.

The hotel service was excellent, and the location is fantastic, right by the North Gate of Shuhe Old Town. When we arrived by car, the hotel staff met us at the entrance and helped with our luggage. The front desk lady was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, giving us a great overview. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the courtyard has a beautiful Southeast Asian vibe. There's a guestbook in the room, and it was really interesting to read all the positive comments from people around the world! We had a wonderful time here, thank you!

The B&B is conveniently located near Shuhe Ancient Town's North Gate and just a 4-minute walk from Sifang Street. It's very quiet and the underfloor heating is a nice touch. Every corner of the courtyard is uniquely charming, and the breakfast is excellent too.

The absolute best part of this trip was the breakfast—it was incredibly delicious! The environment was clean and cozy. I really miss Bivou while I'm at work 😭. It would be even better if the screen casting worked, as the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty.

The Vanilla Room is fantastic! The afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious, and we loved the pizza, curry, and fries at the restaurant. The 'Wa Mao' experience had a superb atmosphere. The room's local map and guide were a unique touch you won't find anywhere else. It's a peaceful retreat in Shuhe, yet conveniently located; a short walk along Qingquan Road takes you right to Sifang Street.

Had a wonderful stay, the courtyard was lovely and relaxing. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town, and it was very quiet at night. Highly recommend this place!

This is a very cozy family-friendly hotel. My daughter absolutely loved the two cats there! The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. We truly felt at home during our stay.
