Imperial Hotel, Tokyo

(Good morning, good afternoon, good evening to you all) (Note: The pictures mainly feature food) This is my third stay at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo (the first 2 times were booked by my mom). (I just turned 15). The hotel changes bedding daily, cleans meticulously, and the service is warm and friendly. The breakfast restaurant offers many options 🤔. Also, there's a Yakiniku restaurant (Jojoen) very close behind the hotel, which is rarely crowded. I've eaten there many times (sometimes even on weekend evenings) and never had to wait for a table. (Was I just lucky?) The pictures I've included are all from the hotel. I haven't included Jojoen, but it's definitely worth a try! P8 shows the signature dish (beef) from the hotel's buffet dinner. The beef is juicy and flavorful, tender but not mushy, and the sauce is the perfect touch. (I thought the potatoes were delicious, and by the way, is that white blob garlic?! It's horseradish!) P4 and P5 show two different main dishes from the Japanese-style breakfast (you can choose porridge instead of rice). (Sometimes the ingredients change; I once encountered a time when there was no salmon, but the taste was still excellent) 🤔. Oh, and the pancakes are absolutely amazing! So good I forgot to take pictures (maybe not that good?), but the aroma is incredible!!!! (Note: Most restaurants in Japan will ask you if you have any food allergies. Don't panic if you're asked; just answer truthfully. "Allergy" is the common word used for this.) The hotel staff's English proficiency is really good! Seriously! Seiyoken + Din Tai Fung + Ichiran ads passing by... You can try Seiyoken. It's very famous and has been around for a long time. I've tried their full meals (both the grill and the cafe, emmm... the grill's main dishes were quite impressive, as for the cafe, I thought it was decent. Their signature beef stew, though the meat chunks are large, is really soft, flavorful, and fragrant! The other dishes were also quite good. Oh, and definitely get their Duck Farm Pudding to go before you leave! It's fantastic!!!!! The caramel is a bit bitter, which I personally don't mind). The Imperial Hotel's omurice (omelet rice) is good. Room service is quite special! You can do almost everything in the room with just one tablet, such as ordering room service, checking breakfast queue status, closing curtains, and turning off lights. That's about it. My opinion on Kamon is that it's worth trying once. (Most of the above-mentioned Imperial Hotel restaurants are more budget-friendly if you choose lunch options). To the hotel, I'd say you've done a great job. There's nothing to pick apart. Many of the services are very detailed. Negative reviews do exist, but I honestly didn't notice any... (that's on me). Also, a good travel mood is very important. This is just my review. Wishing you a pleasant journey! The hotel staff is very helpful! They will solve problems for you. Last time, my mom thought the indoor lighting wasn't perfect? She wanted to try brighter lights to see if it would be better and also wanted an additional space to work directly by the window. After informing the hotel of the request, they sent what seemed like a room service table? With a desk lamp, and the brightness was just right! (It was really a bother to them, I'm sure). (Please don't get upset with me if any of the above wording seems inappropriate...) That's generally all. I'm too lazy to write anything else, and I guess no one will read on anyway, it's quite long... Haha 🤔

Exuding classic 'old money' charm, the grand lobby is stunning, and the chestnut cake at the lobby lounge is simply to die for. At 30 square meters, the room still felt quite small. From the 22nd-floor window, you get a partial view of the Imperial Palace, but it faces the railway tracks directly, so it gets noisy at night until midnight. The facilities are dated; according to the hotel brochure, a rebuild is planned with completion set for 2036. There are dozens of shops in the underground shopping arcade, the swimming pool is very small, and the breakfast is great. The service is super, offering a truly privileged VIP experience.

Traveling with my parents this time, I booked a family room in the Tower. From check-in to check-out, the service at every step was exceptional. Although the decor and facilities show signs of age, it actually gives off a sense of historical charm. During our stay, we also happened to catch the lobby's floral arrangement being changed – the aesthetic was truly impressive. We tried the hotel's famous coconut cake, which we bought as a walk-in. It was refreshing and delicious, definitely worth a try. For two mornings, we ordered room service for breakfast. You just need to reserve it in advance on the in-room iPad, which was very convenient. The hotel's location goes without saying; it's a mere 7-minute walk to Ginza, making transportation incredibly easy. It truly is a hotel with excellent value for money. My parents loved it, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

1. The location is fantastic, right next to Hibiya Park with its beautiful ginkgo and maple leaves, and very convenient for shopping in Ginza; 2. The breakfast is good—while not mind-blowing, it's quite decent for Japan; 3. The lobby is lovely, and the service is excellent.

The Imperial Hotel was the last stop of our Tokyo trip. Initially, I didn't hold high expectations, figuring the hotel was quite old with a dated look. To my surprise, it turned out to be one of the biggest highlights of the trip. We arrived rather early. During check-in, the staff noticed my daughter's birthday from her passport. Later, when I asked about paying to upgrade our room, for just around 500 RMB extra, they upgraded us to a suite—such a pleasant surprise! Although the hotel has some years under its belt, the interior is exceptionally well-maintained. From the lobby and the rooms to the subtle service details, everything felt so comfortable without any sense of being run-down. I especially want to mention the value for money. The previous hotel we stayed at in Roppongi had a similar price tag to the Imperial Hotel, but the grandness of the lobby, the room size, and the overall stay experience were worlds apart. Even though the Imperial Hotel is a historic establishment, its meticulous upkeep and top-notch service completely make up for any sense of age in its architecture. This stay completely changed my view of the Imperial Hotel, and it's a Tokyo hotel I would gladly recommend to others.

We checked into the Imperial Hotel Tokyo this past Monday, and it was an unforgettable experience – truly perfect from start to finish. What impressed me the most was how a staff member personally escorted us to our room and meticulously explained how to use all the in-room facilities. The service was calm, professional, and full of thoughtful human touches, truly showcasing the quality of a century-old hotel. Every single detail showed great care, making this stay truly memorable. The next time I visit Tokyo, I will definitely choose the Imperial Hotel again.

As a well-established historic hotel with a famous reputation, it attracts travelers from all over, creating a fantastic ambiance. During my stay at The Imperial Hotel Tokyo, getting to Ginza was extremely convenient, and the Imperial Palace, Nihombashi, and Tokyo Station are all close by. The slippers 🥿 were exceptionally nice—too bad they couldn't give us an extra pair!

The room was fantastic, located in the tower, and it's rare to find such a spacious room in Tokyo. The bedding and toiletries were excellent. English communication was seamless throughout my stay. Breakfast was high quality, and the service was superb. It's very close to Ginza for shopping, just a 10-minute walk, and right across the street is the exquisite Hibiya Park, definitely worth taking your time to experience.
