Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort

We were upgraded to an executive suite at the front desk. The room was spacious, and they even added an extra bed for free, which was perfect for our group of three adults and two children. Besides the buffet breakfast, we also enjoyed some light meals at the executive lounge, which essentially saved us a meal. Our butler, Anna, provided excellent and attentive service. She was very responsive to messages, answered all our questions, arranged for a fruit plate to be sent to our room, and allowed for a late check-out. These details truly reflect the hotel's high service standards. Although the waves at Haitang Bay were too rough for swimming, the hotel's grounds and facilities were absolutely fantastic. Our three-day, two-night stay was very comfortable.

Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort exceeded all expectations! The pristine beach is right outside your window, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and coconut groves. Wendy's French-style service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making our entire stay, from check-in to check-out, completely hassle-free. The pool complex is stunning and perfect for photos. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh options, and the excellent kids' facilities made traveling with children a breeze. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. We'll definitely be back for another stay, and I highly recommend it to everyone – it's truly beyond what you'd expect!

Sofitel Sanya Leeman was absolutely fantastic! The French island vibe was incredibly atmospheric. Our sea-view room had a great view and comfortable bedding. The private beach was wonderfully tranquil, and there was a wide variety of pools. Breakfast was rich and featured Hainanese specialties, while the Thai restaurant offered authentic dishes. The service throughout our stay was attentive and thoughtful, with nice extra touches like travel photography services and a duty-free shuttle bus. It was a perfect family vacation experience, and we'll definitely be back!

There are definitely some downsides, but they were all acceptable. There were some highlights, but not many. Overall, it was a passing experience. I want to specifically mention the location in the last picture. Between the children's play area and the noodle bar, there's an old woman selling toys. She's really annoying, and her stuff is overpriced and poor quality. Kids are easily drawn to toys, and this old woman was constantly badgering and enticing children to buy her expensive, shoddy toys, taking advantage of their almost non-existent self-control. I told her to be quiet, and she immediately did, otherwise, there's no way I would have given a 5-star rating. Murca Xiao Liu was quite dedicated and still has room for improvement.

We chose a suite for our stay with seniors and children. Customer service representative Xiao Liu from Murca proactively contacted us via WeChat well in advance. Upon check-in, they had already prepared a stool for our child to reach things and a small potty, which was very thoughtful. The view is excellent, and there's a fire dance performance in the evening. Dining at an outdoor table at the Thai restaurant offers the best spot to watch the fire dance. For children, there's a water park, a mini-train, and an indoor ball pit, so there are plenty of activities. However, there were a few downsides: 1. The leader for the lamp-lighting ceremony just read from a script, seemingly only for herself and a few ladies next to her. No one else could hear anything; it was like listening to a monk chanting, completely devoid of emotion. It wasn't worth rushing to be there at 6 PM. 2. The host organizing the children's activity of throwing large dice in the lobby did a poor job. Sometimes they'd choose kids by "eeny, meeny, miny, moe" and other times they'd just pick random children. Kids who had waited in line for a long time didn't get a turn and had to watch longingly, while others who just walked up were called to throw the dice. If you can't organize it properly, it's better not to organize it at all; it just makes people uncomfortable. 3. The Executive Lounge was quite disappointing, very disappointing actually. 4. The front desk staff during check-in was quite good, but when we went back around 6 PM to ask about the lamp-lighting ceremony, the staff (a different person) was very unhelpful and dismissive. 5. The hotel's breakfast buffet was chaotic and messy. It looked like there was a wide variety, but the quality was actually very mediocre.

For this trip to Haitang Bay, I chose the Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the Jade Building was absolutely stunning. There were also evening shows (a parent-child interactive carnival), perfect for all ages. The indoor playground is open all day, and there's a heated pool suitable for both adults and children, making it ideal for a relaxing stay at the hotel. All the staff members exuded a sense of organized calm. My butler proactively contacted me, added me on WeChat, and informed me about the hotel's services and benefits. Upon arrival, I was even given complimentary desserts and fruits. It was full of pleasant surprises! A big thank you to Sherry and Nicole for their excellent service, which made my Haitang Bay trip even more wonderful.
