Washington R&B Hotel Otsukaeki Kitaguchi

The room was very clean, and the window could be opened. The hotel staff provided excellent service. It is located right across from Otsuka Station North Exit, with a McDonald's, supermarkets, and duty-free shops nearby.

Location: Extremely close to the JR station, making getting around very convenient. Otsuka is a smaller station so it's not overly crowded, and to go to Kamakura, you just take one stop to Ikebukuro and transfer. To find the hotel elevator, once you see the hotel, walk to the right-hand side and go halfway around the building. Facilities: There are plenty of dining options nearby. There's a Ten-zushi right across the hotel which is cheap and delicious. Nearby you'll also find Yoshinoya, MOS Burger, McDonald's, etc., so you won't have to worry about finding food even if you return late. The connecting room is equivalent to a twin room plus a single room, and it comes with two toilets. It can snugly accommodate three large suitcases (28, 26, and 24 inches). The hotel breakfast selection is very basic. If there's a big price difference between booking with or without breakfast, I wouldn't recommend adding it. It literally just consists of bread, curry rice, milk, and eggs—what you see is what you get. Also, breakfast ends quite early at 9:30 AM. The check-out time is 10:00 AM, which I didn't like. Extending it to 12:00 PM costs around 2,400 yen, or about 3,600 yen for the connecting room.

The location is super convenient, just across the street from Otsuka Station. Otsuka is pretty quiet at night. The hotel isn't huge, but for this price in Tokyo, it's a great deal. Staying here is a good choice.

This hotel is truly a 'home away from home,' conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Otsuka Station on the JR Yamanote Line. Downstairs, you'll find a Starbucks, McDonald's, and Tenka Sushi, where even locals line up, not to mention Sizzler, Royal Host, and Denny's restaurants, plus a 7-Eleven. It's incredibly convenient!

I spent a long time looking for accommodation in Tokyo. Most places were either too expensive or inconveniently located. Since I was traveling from Hakone to Tokyo, I finally settled on the R&B Hotel, conveniently located near Otsuka Station on the Yamanote Line. It offers direct access to popular areas like Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Akihabara, and Shinjuku. Our twin room was about 20 square meters, and I really liked the clever design of the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. Aside from the twin beds, there was also a corner sofa, a small table, and a round table. The only downside was that the breakfast was just okay – enough to fill you up, but nothing special.

Love it! The location is super convenient; you can spot the hotel sign right after exiting Otsuka Station. The Yamanote Line gets you to Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and other places very quickly. The front desk is on the 2nd floor, and you need to take a slight detour from downstairs to reach the elevator. The surrounding amenities are excellent, with convenience stores, Don Quijote, Starbucks, and McDonald's all nearby, giving it a very local feel. There are also very popular sushi and onigiri shops in the vicinity. The room isn't huge but it's clean and tidy, and you can choose whether or not you want daily housekeeping. You can select different types of pillows next to the elevator, and the hotel also provides pajamas.

Everything else was fine, but the elevator stops working in the early morning hours, and I've been to this place three times and still struggle to find the small entrance. This means you can't go out or go downstairs in the early morning; if you need something, you're stuck.
