I stopped sightseeing on the way from Kumamoto to Hitoyoshi on the SL Hitoyoshi used for family trips. JR It is an unmanned station building built in the Meiji period that remains on the Hisatsu Line, but it seems that locals are maintaining it. During the SL Hitoyoshi operation period, there were also stores and it was crowded. The train has a relatively long stop time, so you can get off and go sightseeing.
I got off the train using the waiting time for the train to go wrong and saw it from the outside, but unfortunately it was under construction and the station building was covered and the waiting room was not put in. It was a pity.
I took a walk around the station building with the permission of the driver at the meeting time of the misplaced train. The wooden station building has an old atmosphere such as the scent of wood. Since it was a local train, there were no other passengers walking around, and although it was a short time, I was able to enjoy the delicious station building.
It is a station on the JR Hisatsu Line, where a magnificent station building has been opened for more than 100 years. I was very interested in it because it seems to remain as it was when it opened. It is an unmanned station. I think it is good to use the Shiraishi bus stop as a landmark when you go.
The balance between SL Hitoyoshi and the station building is the best!

It is a stop of SL Hitoyoshi from Kumamoto to Hitoyoshi. Many of the station buildings that remain on the Hisatsu Line were built in the Meiji period, and the appearance of SL Hitoyoshi stopping is perfect for the atmosphere. It will stop for a while, so you can get off the train and visit the station building.
