Not only is the building a piece of Broken Hill's history and worth stepping inside of on it's own merits, taking in the entire gallery is very much worth your time. Currently with visiting displays from Jim Paterson, Clinton Kemp and Blake Griffiths, which were as interesting as they are diverse, it was the homegrown items on display which were my favourite. With works from Pro Hart, Eric Minchin and Jack Absalom to name drop a few, you'll be able to soak up some of the rich art history of the region.

The Broken Hill Local Art Gallery is the earliest art gallery in Australia, founded in 1904, maintaining its main source of donations, selling souvenir gifts, etc., close to the train station, in the city street
Very good, there are different art works, often change the theme, go in is a contribution, some finished products can be bought, today I have seen indigenous art, brocade art, stone art and other diversified art
