A monk opened the door for us so we could make our own 'small trip'. The monastery was so luxurious that you seemed to be in a castle. It was impressive. The whole system was great too. Here you can already spend 2 hours. Guided by locals, we were hiking from Shivapuri Heights Cottage to a nearby monastery of beautiful buildings where we could even attend the monk's afternoon prayer meeting! I really enjoyed the little trip and were happy with our guide - without him we might have lost our way. Anyway, it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon!
