Turtle Hospital Turtle Hospital is a charity founded in 1986 at Marathon, Florida. It is heartbreaking to watch turtles with tumors or cut by propellers in the hospital! This institution is mainly to treat injured turtles and return them to their natural habitat; Education of the public through outreach programs and visits to local schools; cooperation with state universities to help turtles; commitment to environmental legislation to make beaches and seawater safe and clean. The Turtle Hospital’s medical equipment is well-established, with more than half of the equipment donated by local hospitals and doctors, and some by environmental organizations and individuals.
