My question going up was "what's the road like?" It's an easy drive, pave for a while, then packed dirt. Easy drive. Go see it

Pressed for time, and having seen a gold dredge in Alaska, we went only part way up the Yankee Fork Gold Dredge Road, as a side trip on our way from Stanley Idaho to Craters of the Moon National Monum...

Missed it by one weekend. The dredge is open memorial to labor day. We did walk around and peaked inside. We'll be sure to visit when it is open next year.
