The Mazu Temples in various places are similar, and the Mazu Temple in Haikou is different from the last three photos, which is the small temple next to the Tianhou Palace, which is the old temple.

The Mazu Temple I was thinking of stopped. Half of the reason for coming to Hainan this time is because of the Mazu Temple on Wuzhizhou Island. Come again if you have a chance.

Mazu Temples
顺时针1986
Mazu is a folk belief spread in the coastal areas of China, there are many Mazu temples around the world, Weizhou Island is the birthplace of Mazu culture, so Weizhou Island's Mazu Temple is regarded as the ancestor temple in this kind of temple. Mazu Temple is very close to the pier of Shangweizhou Island. It can be reached by bus No. 1, 2, and 3, which is a popular attraction. The statue of Mazu stands on the island, facing the sea, with a gentle and kind face. It is an eternal sea god and a symbol of peace. The soul of Mazu is everywhere. Personally feel that it is the most worthwhile humanistic landscape on Weizhou Island. The Mazu Temple Building Group is built on the mountain, from the mountain gate to the Yimen to the main hall, and more than 300 steps connect the buildings on both sides. The temple is spectacular, solemn, and there are many pilgrims. There is a huge Mazu stone sculpture statue on the top of the Zumiao Mountain, facing the sea, amiable, here is the best location overlooking the temple group under the mountain and the vast sea, the view is excellent. Behind the stone statue is a 30-group Mazu story group carving garden, each group carving tells a legend story. If you don't do enough homework, it is recommended to fight a tour guide. The ancestral temple ticket is 30 yuan, free entry before 6 am, and it is suitable for the viewing platform to the top of the mountain to shoot the sunrise. Tickets for Weizhou Island are 65 yuan. Many attractions also sell tickets separately, but Mazu Temple is included in the big ticket. To Weizhou Island, you can generally take Putian. After leaving the station, take the 32nd road to Panshi Bus Station and then take the bus to Wenjia Wharf and then take the ferry to Weizhou Island. There is a bus stop at the pier after going to the island. There are only 3 bus lines to Mazu Temple. You can choose the route according to where you still want to go. You can take the bus for free with the island ticket.

Mazu Temples

2020.12.01 The second trip on the third day of the Antarctic Village trip is to visit the Mazu Temple on the mountainside of Fei'eling. The original temple was built during the Qing Kangxi period, removed in 1963, and rebuilt by villagers in 1999. The newly built Mazu Temple still inherits the traditional style of Chinese temple architecture, carving beams and painting buildings, and exquisite work. Especially the two pillars of the gate, the process of whole stone carving, are quite magnificent; the roof ridge and moths are decorated with various stone carving birds and animals, rich in national characteristics. Standing at the temple overlooking the sea, the scenery is infinite.
