Perhaps it was the east exit of Itoigawa Station, there was "Itoigawa Geo Station Geopal" at the east entrance. The first thing that jumped into my eyes was the "Geopark Tourism Information Center". Looking at the videos and exhibitions there, I understood "Itoigawa Geopark" well.
It is a facility unique to Itoigawa, which is famous as a town where jade can be taken and as a town of Fossa Magna.

There was Itoigawa Geo Station Geopal on the 1 floor in the station building at the east exit of Itoigawa Station (Shinkansen side). Itoigawa, famous as a town for jade and the city of Fossa Magna, is certified as a World Geopark. Exhibitions and explanations of geology and rocks related to them are located at the "Geopark Tourism Information Center" in the building. There is also a corner called "Kiha 52 waiting room" and "diorama railway model station", so iron ...
The railway museum sounds good, but you can visit it for free at the facility with exhibits related to railways. It is just below the Shinkansen platform and has the entrance to this facility in the station building. Inside, there are actual vehicle exhibitions, Plarail, and diorama, which gives the overall impression of children. Compared to railway museums all over the country, it is quite small, but considering that it is free, it can be said that it is a substantial facility.
It is a railway theme park on the 1st floor of Itoigawa Station. You can enter the museum for free if you just look at it. Not only miniatures but also used trains are on display. Photos are OK inside the building. I forgot the time and took pictures.
