The Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Natural History has two exhibition areas. The first is the aquarium, which displays the rich marine ecology off the coast of Wakayama. The second showcases the area’s wild species, including fossils from some 420 million years ago.
Enthronement ceremony
Admission was free as a celebration event for the ceremony of the Enthronement Reishoden. The large aquarium, which was reported to have been annihilated, was also restored. I want to see many, large fish swimming around as before.
Aquarium where you can see slowly
Although it is called the Natural Museum, it is an aquarium. When you enter the entrance, you will encounter a large glass aquarium. Large horse mackerel and rays, ordinary fish that are not unusual, are swimming. Personally, I like this place the most and recommend it. It's not very crowded, and even small children can see the aquarium glass seriously. There are also exhibits stuffed animals that live in insects and Wakayama, so I think you can learn a lot. The parking lot is more road than the museum ...
Expect the above
Although small, it is worth the aquarium. Starting with familiar creatures such as turtles and frogs, you will be healed by fish swimming in the large aquarium. It was good that there was a touch pool. You can look around slowly, especially for children.
Favorite.
As the name suggests, it is a prefectural museum in Wakayama Prefecture, but it is so fulfilling that it can be said that it is an aquarium. There are no penguins or dolphins, from the large coral aquarium to the large aquarium with large rown horse mackerel and rays to the standard jellyfish and chinanago in the aquarium, but it is quite spectacular.
Ordinary
It was a rainy day, so the hall was crowded with families. There was nothing particularly amazing to say this.
